Hello World! This post is really about Little Dedicated taking over the Breakfast Room table Fall decor. I am still amazed that I have an 8 year old! The time goes by so quickly. Well, this 8 year old is feisty and knows what she likes. However, we are teaching her that all of this must be mixed with kindness. If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is unlovely little girls and for that matter, unlovely grown girls. We cannot steer the world personally, but we can steer our attitudes and our tongues. Okay, sorry about the little rant! Onto the matter at hand…more Fall decor.
You remember I picked up the tray and bowl several weeks ago on recent shopping trips to Target and Home Goods. Little Dedicated was very excited to help me fluff our nest for Fall.
I cannot remember where the little bird came from. We’ve had him for years. He was recently used in a riveting game of My Little Pony Monopoly. One of the male cousins decided instead of using one of the ponies as a game token, said bird would be used. Good to know he has come in handy at the Griffin house.
Little owl is a salt shaker I picked up last year at Home Goods. All of the other decor in the bowl was purchased at Hobby Lobby.
A pumpkin being held captive in a bird cage got the approval from the ever discerning eye of Little Dedicated.
This sits on a cabinet that used to be a wet bar that divides the breakfast room from the hearth room.
What do you think? Should I spray paint the bird cage gold? Just a thought.
When we were just about finished, Little Dedicated decided the “Thanksgiving Family” needed to be moved to the tray.
And, not to be left out of the My Little Pony Monopoly game, little turkey to the left was also used as a game token by Mr. Dedicated. Little Dedicated and myself are purists…she was Pinkie Pie and I was Rarity.
Next week, I’ll show you the wee bit of Fall decor I have in the dining room.

Darling vignettes, Kathryn! I'm drooling over that gorgeous lamp in the background, too! 🙂
Your daughter has style! love what she's done! My oldest turned 8 last Saturday, it's amazing how fast time goes by… By the way, I like the cage as it is, I would not spray it with gold
Hugs,
Pili

Beautiful Kathryn! Love all your fall touches!
Beautiful Fall decorations and vignettes dear Kathryn. Love that bowl with pedestal as well as the bird cage. Nothing like spending time with our daughters, specially if you still have her home. I miss those days with my two girls; specially around the C'mas season.
Enjoy your weekend.
