Hello World! Welcome Friends! Like most people, I’d never heard of ‘click-fit’ blinds until recently, so I did some digging to find out more about these new-fangled window blinds and why they’ve become so popular in the interior décor world out of nowhere.
If you too want to discover more about these ‘click-fit’ blinds, what they are, where you’d use them and how you can get your own set, put on your reading glasses and read on!
What Are ‘Click-Fit’ Blinds?
‘Click-Fit’ blinds are a specific type of window blind that is installed by securing the blind in a window frame rather than directly onto a wall.
These blinds are called ‘click-fit’ as they’re fitted by clicking the brackets into the window frame, underneath the window’s rubber gasket, which makes for an incredibly easy installation process requiring no tools whatsoever.
Where Would You Use These Blinds?
‘Click-fit’ blinds are most commonly found used in conservatories or on patio doors such as bi-fold doors, as they can easily be installed directly into the window frame, rather than being drilled into place. Both conservatories and patio doors often have little space available for a blind to be drilled in place, which is why ‘click fit’ blinds are so popular in both conservatories and patio doors.
However, these blinds can be used in other windows around the house, so long as the window has a gasket large enough to hold the brackets in place. But again, you’ll most often see click-fit blinds in bi-fold doors or conservatory windows.
How Do You Measure For ‘Click-Fit’ Blinds?
Measuring for these ‘click-fit’ blinds is incredibly easy and you can do all the needed measuring for them in a matter of seconds, which only adds to the appeal of these blinds.
To measure your windows for a set of ‘click-fit’ blinds, you just need to measure the visible glass (from the inner edge of the gasket) on the window, from side to side and top to bottom, it’s that easy!
Where Can You Buy ‘Click-Fit’ Blinds?
To find a set of ‘click-fit’ blinds for your home, you just need to go online and find a made-to-measure blinds retailer that can make some for you.
Once you have found a reputable blinds supplier, give them your measurements and they’ll make up your new blinds and ship them out to you in a matter of days.
How Do You Install ‘Click-Fit’ Blinds?
Now that you have received your new ‘click-fit’ window blinds, it’s time to install them. Luckily, for the most part these blinds are as easy to install as they are to measure for, with an experienced DIY-er being able to fit them in a minute or so.
However, each manufacturer will have different quirks to their blinds, meaning that there’s no ‘do-it-all’ technique to install these blinds. But, your blinds retailer will always provide you with a detailed set of installation instructions, so just follow along with the provided instructions to install your new blinds.
