Hello World! Welcome Friends! Are you tired of cooking on poor-quality pots and pans? It can be so frustrating when food is constantly sticking to the bottom. Inexpensive cookware tends to have poor heat distribution, so one chicken breast will cook through while the other is still raw in the middle. Then you must spend more time cleaning up since scraping off all the stuck-on food takes forever.
If this sounds like a regular night at your house, it could be time to update your cookware. Investing in quality cookware is one of the easiest ways to upgrade your kitchen without spending thousands of dollars on a remodel. For easy everyday cooking and cleanup, investing in ceramic non stick pans can take any kitchen from blah to fabulous.
With so many options out there, how do you know what choice is best for you and your family?
Why We Love Ceramic Non-Stick Pans
Easy Breezy
I am a busy person. I am all about saving time in the kitchen. When I get home from work, I want to have dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less, and I do not want cleanup to feel like too much of a chore.
Ceramic non-stick pans conduct heat exceptionally well, so I have even quick cook times. One side of the pan no longer cooks my chicken faster than the other. Instead, my family’s meal comes together all at the same time.
When it’s time to clean up, the non-stick ceramic surface helps food slide off quickly. If anything stays stuck, just lightly simmer soapy water on the stovetop and watch any sticky bits melt away.
Healthy
Unlike traditional non-stick cookware, my ceramic pans don’t contain any harmful chemicals. Most traditional non-stick pans release PTFEs. Usually, these chemicals begin to release from the surface of your pan after about 2 minutes on high heat. By choosing a ceramic non-stick pan, I avoid releasing any unwanted chemicals into the food my family eats or into the air we breathe.
Plus, ceramic cookware works so well that I barely have to use any oil when preparing my food. I can fry an egg with no fat, and it will slide right off the pan onto my avocado toast. Now that I don’t have to drown everything in oil, preparing healthy meals to support my family’s wellness is much easier.
Aesthetically Pleasing
While being able to prepare healthy meals for my family quickly is a huge plus, my favorite part about these pans is how beautiful they look in my kitchen. They come in so many stunning colors. By choosing ceramic non-stick cookware, you immediately elevate the look of your kitchen.
What to Be Aware of In Caring for Your non-stick Ceramic Pans
Unlike traditional cookware, these pans are a little more fragile because of their ceramic coating. While they are super easy to use and clean, ensure you follow manufacturer guidelines to avoid scratching or cracking.
Here are some tips and tricks to get years of use out of your new non-stick ceramic pans.
- Avoid metal cooking utensils as these can scratch the fragile surface of your pan. Instead, choose silicone-tipped spatulas or wooden spoons to flip, stir, and sauté!
- Avoid spray-on oils as these can leave a residue that can corrode the natural non-stick surface of your cookware. Instead, use small amounts of butter or olive oil; 1-2 tablespoons is more than enough to coat the entire pan.
- Ceramic non-stick pans conduct heat exceptionally well due to their aluminum interior. Cook on low to medium heat to protect the coating.
- Be gentle when placing these pans on the stovetop or in the cabinet. Remember, ceramic is more fragile than metal.
- Let your pan cool completely before rinsing with cold water. It could crack if you shock it by taking it off the heat and placing it immediately into cold water.
- Check the manufacturer’s labels to ensure your cookware is oven safe. If you regularly sear on the stovetop and finish in the oven, choose an option that can handle temperatures up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Best Everyday Pan
While I love occasionally bringing out my cast iron skillet for special occasions, nothing beats a ceramic non-stick pan for everyday use. One-pan meals are my go-to for healthy weeknight meals that are quick to make and easy to clean up after. Having a ceramic non-stick pan makes these weeknight meals a breeze.
Adding just one ceramic non-stick pan to your kitchen is a gamechanger. You may never even put it away if you use yours as often as I do. Honestly, when a pan looks this gorgeous on the stovetop… why would you?
