Hello World! Welcome Friends! There’s nothing more frustrating than when you sit down after a hard week at work to watch the latest episode of Game of Thrones, stream a highly anticipated movie, enjoy a date night cuddle in front of the box, or just relaxing in the living room with your family, and the television signal decides to call it a day.
We’ve all been there at some point where the screen starts to lag, the audio quality plummets and some kind of weird static covers the screen. Of course, sometimes it lasts a few seconds, maybe a day or two in a bad scenario, but what happens if it’s often and too regular to make your TV time enjoyable? Today, we’re going to share everything you need to know right here!
Rescan Your Television Channels
The first step you’re going to need to take is to head into the Settings menu of your television and retune it to refund the channels and their respective frequency channels. Television channels use set frequencies to transfer their signal, but these can change over time, and even point one of an MS can make a huge difference to the quality of your signal.
Sometimes, a quick rescan may be all you need to refresh the channel listings on your television to get your signal back to being its strong and stable self!
Check Your Television Cables & Connections
While the signal may be coming through to your television fine, if the cables you’re using are frayed or not high quality, this could be a problem to your signal woes. Even the ports themselves that you plug your cables into could be the problem, so you’ll need to check them all.
Try borrowing a friend’s cable, or simply buying a new one and replacing your current set up to see whether this fixes the problem. If you can connect your television to another port, you can try this. If you’re still having signal problems, call an electrician or your television provider to come and check your coaxial ports to see if they’re working. Companies like Infinity Dish can be incredibly helpful even by searching their website if you want to check out the latest cable statistics or ask a query regarding your own TV signal.
Adjust Your Aerial Position
Television signals travel through the air and are then picked up by the aerial you have in your attic space or on your roof. This is then picked up by your aerial which travels the signal through your house and into your television. However, the positioning of your aerial needs to be in the right place to receive the signal clearly.
There are many things that can put your signal out of sync, such as extreme weather conditions, or even just a bird landing on it and moving it slightly out of place. Try moving your aerial slightly in different positions to see if your television signal improves.
Update/Replace Your Television Aerial
If worst comes to worst, you may need to replace your television aerial altogether. This is, however, rather simple if you get yourself a more modern long range tv antenna that can go the distance and ensure you’re getting the best signal possible. Simply buy your aerial, replace your current one, and you should be good to go!
Contact Your Provider
If you’re still having problems with your television signal, even after you’ve replaced it, it’s time to call in the provider. Call up your television provider to see if they can check what the problem is. You’ll probably need some rewiring completed in your house, or you may even need to replace your television entirely.
Summary
While there are many aspects of the television connection that can go wrong which results in a poor television signal, make sure you’re patient and work your way backward to find the problem and get the signal back up and running as quickly as possible!
