Hello World! Welcome Friends! When pests make their way into a home, they can cause damage, and affect the quality of life for the individuals who reside there. Some pests can affect the health of human dwellers, and others can actively cause damage to carpets, walls, and wiring.
According to Consumer Affairs, more homeowners and renters are bothered by ants than any other pest. This may seem strange as ants are often treated as no more than a common nuisance. Some though, such as the carpenter ant, can cause real damage.
However, the ant is a fairly easy pest to remove. A simple can of bug spray is often enough to rid a home of ants, and there are other more humane ways to prevent ants from coming into a home.
There are some pests though, that won’t go so easily. Some pests just seem to keep on reproducing and coming back no matter what measures you take. So, what are these pests, and what does it take to get rid of them?
What Is the Most Dangerous Insect?
Most people probably don’t look at insects as being dangerous. Of course, there are some venomous caterpillars and spiders, but by and large, insects aren’t actively trying to kill human beings.
The mosquito though is a very unpleasant insect at the best of times. At the worst, it can be deadly to be bitten by a mosquito.
According to the World Mosquito Program, more than 390 million individuals from across the planet will acquire dengue fever each year from mosquitos.
What Are the Hardest Insects and Pests to Remove from a Home?
Some creatures can be controlled, and removed for good, quite easily. Some can be eradicated by pest control products bought from suitable stores or online. In some circumstances, bringing in pest control services may be unavoidable.
This is particularly true for the following pests. These are the toughest, hardest, and most stubborn pests that a home could see. They are all deeply unpleasant and breed very quickly. They can all cause an infestation that can either damage an individual’s health, or their property.
Bed Bugs
These tiny little insects are the curse of apartment dwellers in cities across the world. They invade guesthouses and are the scourge of backpackers looking for cheap accommodation.
Bed bugs breed incredibly quickly, and females can lay eggs every single day. It is normal for one female bed bug to lay an egg every day and at times perhaps 5 or more.
There are some excellent methods for removing these pests now though. There is heat treatment for bed bugs which is an effective pest control technique. However, this bug is known for persistence so pest control experts are usually the only recourse for a tenant or homeowner.
Bed bugs can get through the tiniest of gaps and cracks, so they are perfectly capable of spreading from one room to another quickly. They can be very tricky to control, and quite difficult to spot too.
Cockroaches
If you see a cockroach in one of your rooms, then you will pretty soon be Googling how can you deal with pests in your home?
These unpleasant-looking insects can cause disease and trigger allergies. Because of where they tend to dwell and move, they can pick up bacteria that can then spread to humans. They carry bacteria from drains and sewers onto kitchen surfaces, and any food left lying around.
They are also difficult to track down as they live and hide in places where you cannot gain easy access. They also breed pretty quickly.
A female cockroach will produce an egg capsule every 6 weeks, and this takes about a month to hatch. An infestation may not happen as quickly as it would with bed bugs, but it will certainly not take too long.
Termites
If you discover you have termites in your home, then you have a significant problem. Termites won’t start taking on a house until they have already built up a force large enough. This means somewhere in the area of 100,000 plus termites.
Termites cause billions of dollars of damage every year in the US alone. They are not restricted to the states though, and they like to invade homes that have wooden structures. They also like damp, so it is crucial to make sure that wooden structures aren’t trapping moisture.
Pest control experts, and ones specializing in termites, are necessary to get rid of an infestation before too much damage has occurred.
Summary
There are certainly some natural ways to get rid of house pests. But, if you are dealing with the three pests above, you may have no choice but to call in some much bigger guns.
Bed bugs can cause irritation, and extremely itchy welts when they bite. Cockroaches make allergies worse, and can even spread disease. While termites can literally bring your house down.
If you have any of these pests, don’t waste time on home treatments. Call the experts in to remove the problem quickly.
