Hello World! Welcome Friends! Happy New Year! Here we are again at the start of a new year. A time for fresh beginnings and renewed resolve! For me, I will be focusing my energies on checking off projects around the house and finishing up the Powder Bath makeover! Remember that one? I started work on the Powder Room before Hurricane Harvey and the One Room Challenge took over my life, and I have yet to finish it. That is the first makeover that will be completed in the New Year! I’m looking to have the Powder Room makeover completed mid-February. Hopefully sooner if all goes well. I need to shop for a new mirror. The previous mirror got accidentally broken during Hurricane Harvey. Good thing I didn’t love it! Truth be told, I barely liked it.
And, the Dining Room is on the project list as well. I might use this one as a One Room Challenge, because it will actually be a daunting task. The previous owners painted over wallpaper and there are bubbles under the wallpaper which can be seen even with a couple of coats of paint on top. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
I would love to purchase new furniture for the dining room, but that is just not in the budget. We are working on paying off our cars and the house so we can be completely debt free. However, I plan on giving the existing furniture a makeover.
I will also be shopping the house and giving items a makeover to fit with the decor scheme I have in mind to keep us on track with our budget.

Before & After Wednesday and Anything Blue Friday will be back next week after being closed down for a little more than a year. I have missed hosting these parties and seeing all of the inspiration you bring. These parties will start back up next week. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 for the Before & After Wednesday party going live at 8:00am, and Friday, January 12, 2018 for the Anything Blue Friday party going live as well at 8:00am!
Feel free to share older posts at these parties to give them fresh life and have new eyes take a look at them.
Another project on the list is the Master Bedroom Makeover.
The only update that has taken place in the Master Bedroom is that we had Plantation Shutters installed last September.
Also, Chloe has been itching for me to makeover her bedroom.
Bless her heart, she has been a trooper living with UT Orange walls. She misses this little lovely below.
And, of course she wants a chair rail in her new room. I think I might be able to manage that with help from Greg. Or that might be the other way around…LOL.
Looks like I’m going to be super busy!
