Hello World! Welcome Friends! We all must find ways to build up our levels of confidence, take control of our lives, and feel more empowered. It is essential to have a happy and fulfilling life. Over time if we don’t take care of our surroundings and our situation, things can slowly begin spiraling out of control. Stress builds, it affects every facet of our life, and we find we just cannot cope with simple things. If you want to stop these negative things in your life, you have to start taking back control. There are many ways you can do this, and once you start developing better habits, you will find your confidence and sense of self-worth rises with it. Here are a few ideas for you to think about:
Decluttering
If you want to start somewhere, start at home. Look around you, what can you see? Is the home filled with clutter? Clutter can make you feel very anxious, out of control, as well as being triggers to cause you to dwell on the past. Some objects trigger memories, and having a lot of these triggers about can mean we find it difficult to move on. It can affect so many areas of our lives without us realizing, including building new relationships. Although the decluttering process may be difficult to start, when you feel a sense of calm the new environment offers and develop a better focus, you will find it easier to continue the process. With a clean surface, you can move forward with a new resolve.
Be More Assertive
Being more assertive does not mean being rude. It means that you are looking at the situation and taking the best path for yourself. If you are a bit of a people pleaser, then you can start by saying ‘no’ the next time someone asks you to do them a favor. Stress is building because you have no time, and you can’t put other people’s needs ahead of your own. Look at your life, honestly, and think about the things that are bothering you that you generally push aside. Perhaps now is the time to have a word with your partner, or talk to your boss, or call your utility company to make that complaint. Don’t just put up with things anymore. Start reducing that list of niggles. Maybe you have also been having a strange missed call, or you have seen a number on your partner’s phone. Well, it is time to find out the truth. You do not deserve to be treated like a doormat, so don’t act like one. Stand up for yourself, and you will find this new sense of empowerment very rewarding.
Control Your Finances
If you want to have a greater sense of empowerment, then you need to have an honest conversation with yourself about your finances. Getting deeper and deeper into debt is never going to solve anything, even if a certain purchase does make you feel better at the time. The stress debt gives you is not worth it. What is your total income, and what is the sum total of all your essential outgoings? It may be time you developed the ability to live within your means. You may need to start making some changes, like changing that car with the high repayments to a cheaper alternative, shopping at cheaper stores, investigating better cheaper utility companies, not buying that dress you cannot afford, or any other kind of impulse buy. Remember, when it comes to money, it does not matter what you have, what matters is what you do with it. A person on $20,000 a year can have less stress than someone earning 10 times that amount if they are wise and honest with themselves. So, live somewhere appropriate, and buy only what you can afford. You can always look for a new job or a side hustle to make more money once you a freed from stress.
Take Care of Your Health
Your health is the most important thing in your life. You may be fine now, but if you ever develop an illness that a healthier lifestyle could have prevented, you will regret it. To be honest, most people who do unhealthy things know they are unhealthy but do it anyway, either because they are addicted to having no impulse control. To be empowered, you have to take control over your health. Cook healthier foods, quit those bad habits like smoking, drinking too much, and get out there and do some exercise. Getting fit is a physical way to show confidence and empowerment.
