Hello World! Welcome Friends! Some people are so organized that they find it easy to keep their home clean all the time. But even if these folks make having a clean house look effortless, it does take some dedication and discipline to keep your home clean all times. We’ve all experienced those times when we get same day notice that company will be arriving.
Or perhaps a week of overtime at the office, sick children, or some other unexpected event consumes our normal cleaning time. How do you keep your home clean when your available time is limited? We’ve pulled together some of our best tips for cleaning your home in a hurry whether to welcome unexpected company or just because time is short.
Hire a Cleaning Company
Nothing beats having professionals come in to clean your home. If you find yourself constantly pressed for time and unable to keep up with cleaning tasks, consider hiring a professional cleaning company. If you live in LA, hiring experts is both easy and affordable. Look for a Los Angeles Cleaning Company that offers flexible scheduling and a variety of services to fit your needs. With the help of professionals, you can enjoy a clean home without sacrificing too much time or energy.
Gather Dirty Laundry
Gather any dirty laundry that might be hiding under beds, on the bathroom floor or in the couch pillows. Throw it all in the dirty clothes hamper and put at least one load of clothes into the washing machine and start it. Make sure to include those dirty towels from the bathroom door.
Pick Up Trash and Bag Up All Garbage
Go through the house one room at a time. Throw away any trash that may be sitting around such as used tissues, empty pop cans, gum wrappers, empty take out containers, etc. Throw out any old unneeded mail, old newspapers, or old magazines too. Empty all garbage cans from the bathroom and bedrooms and take it to the outside can. Put fresh clean garbage bags in all the receptacles.
Decluttering
Grab a bag or even a laundry basket and go from room to room. Pick up anything that belongs elsewhere or needs to be dealt with and put it in the basket. Anything sitting out on a surface that can be put away, do it. Visually clear surfaces are perceived as cleaner. Put the basket in a closet and sort it when everything else is done, after unexpected company goes home, or the next time you have time free.
Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning
Once you have picked up all the trash and decluttered, it’s time to clean the kitchen and bathroom. Wash any dishes and put them in the drainer to dry or in the dishwasher if you have one. Clean counters as much as possible. Put away small appliances. Close drawers and cupboards. When you are short of time, you can try a maid service like Cleanzen (Boston) because it’s great to get maids that offer cleaning.
Wipe Down All Surfaces
Lemon scented Clorox disinfecting wipes work great for many hard surfaces. Pledge or something similar is the choice for all your wood surfaces such as dressers and hutches. If you have time, use windex or a vinegar solution on the windows and an electronics safe spray on the TV, computer monitor, etc.
Bare Floor Cleaning
By this time, your home should be looking presentable. Now that everything is picked up and out of the way, sweep any bare floors and run the vacuum on the carpeted floors. Spray the inside of your vacuum bag with pleasant essential oils, a pleasant smelling disinfectant, or simply turn on an essential oil diffuser or in home air purifier.
Finishing Touches
Now it’s time for finishing touches. Put the clothes from the washer into the dryer and drop a few drops of essential oil onto a fabric dryer sheet. Set the timer and turn the dryer on. Make the beds if not already done and add little touches in the main rooms such as fresh cut flowers, a coffee table book of interest, a family photo album, a fresh loaf of home baked bread, or a hot plate of cookies. Greet your guests or simply relax and enjoy your clean home.
