Hello World! Welcome Friends! A new baby on the way can be a very exciting thing. For many women, it can be equally exciting to attend a friend or family member’s baby shower. However, it can be a little difficult and stressful sometimes to figure out what type of gift to give. There are so many choices. If you have a friend who is throwing a baby shower party, a great idea would be to get muslin cotton burp cloths or baby sleepers for the newborn. Or if your friend is big into sports, a great idea would be to get baby sleepers for the newborn that have their favorite team logo on them. A great example of where to buy these would be from babyfans.com. If you are wanting to go with some other type of gift, then follow these tips below on how to buy the best gift.
How Much To Spend
The first thing you need to think about before you head out shopping is how much you are willing to spend. Typically, you spend more money on people you are closer to. These people are ones such as family members or best friends. If you are attending a baby shower for a coworker or friend you aren’t that close to, you may not have to spend quite as much. Once you have your budget set, you can start narrowing down your gift choices.
Group Gifts
For some people having a baby, the bigger ticket items are the hardest to afford. If possible, find someone else going to the shower that may be able to go in on a bigger, more expensive gift with you. Things like strollers and changing tables are typically hard for new parents to afford. If you are concerned about ending up footing the whole bill yourself, you can have everyone chip in a certain amount of money towards a gift card to give to the new mom and dad. With this idea, they will be able to get exactly what they want or need.
Buying Or DIY Gifts
The old saying is sometimes true that it is the thought that counts. When invited to a baby shower, it is sometimes more important to put thought into your gift than buying any old thing you come across at the store. For people who are having showers for second or third kids, they usually have the basics already covered for their new addition. You can also buy at least one thing off of the new parent’s registry and then pair it with something homemade or from the heart.
Attending a baby shower is a fun and exciting thing. The idea of a baby growing inside of your friend or family member that will be introduced to the world at any moment is a truly amazing thing to experience. Putting a little effort into the gift-buying process can help you show them you care.

Yes it can be stressful! I will usually look at the registry and get an idea of the theme, style or colors then pick something they could use like burp cloths, sheet sets, or bibs.
Another thought is getting the mom a manicure of spa gift certificate. She usually gets plenty for the new baby.
