Hello World! Welcome Friends! Birthday parties for kids can be a nightmare. Kids are loud and excitable. Their tastes and favorites change on a whim. When a child’s birthday party is looming on the calendar, it’s easy for a parent to get stressed out.
But not you. No, you’re the kick-butt parent and party planner that all of the kids wish they had. You’re going to throw a party that your kid will never forget, and you’re going to have fun and look good doing it. You’re going to throw a party like an absolute champ, and here’s how you’re going to do it.
You’re going to plan early
You’re no nerd, but everyone knows that getting your work done before you play is simply good planning. So you’re going to make a bit of time in your busy schedule to plan out your kid’s birthday party long before the day of the party. You’re going to check out venues and settle on one — maybe it’s your backyard, maybe it’s a place that offers an all-in-one kid’s birthday party package, or maybe it’s some option in between those. You’re going to get a guest list together and start making sure that you have all of the things you need: tables, chairs, tablecloths, and more.
You’re going to send out invitations with RSVPs in them. You’re going to hear from other parents with plenty of time before the party date. And maybe, just maybe, you’re going to find some reinforcements among those parents. It may be your kid’s party, but you can have some friends over, too, right?
Planning early will keep your stress levels low, allowing you to continue to operate as a champion parent and party planner. What can you say? It’s just what you’re good at.
You’re going to go above and beyond
With the basics in place, you can’t help but think of ways to make this party the best birthday party ever. It’s just who you are: You’re a party-planning champ, and nothing is going to change that. So while other parents are desperately settling for the bare minimum, you’re building on that basic planning that you already finished early. You’re thinking about bounce castles and performers. You’re thinking about themed decorations. Whatever you need is just a phone call away, say pros who specialize in bounce house rentals in Long Island. But you know that already, of course: you’re a party-planning champ.
So you make the calls and you reserve the rentals, and there’s still plenty of time before the party. You call up the ice cream shop or bakery and order the cake so that it’s ready and fresh on the day of the party. You stock up on party favors and food and more, and you get all of this done ahead of time so that your day-of-the-party responsibilities are minimal. It’s not that you couldn’t be a whirlwind of productivity on party day — hey, you’re a pro, after all — it’s just that you’re savvy enough to know that planning ahead makes life easier and more fun.
Have a blast at your kid’s party
When the day of the party arrives, your kid is ecstatic. The other kids are, too. It’s the party of a lifetime, and everyone knows it — heck, you knew it all along. That’s why you’re coasting through an easy day that was made possible by all of your early planning. And that’s why you look like a million bucks. You’re well-rested and confident. You’re dressed well. Who wouldn’t shop for a few hip dresses as a little reward for planning such a superior party? You look like it’s your party, which, in a way, it is. So you pal around with the other adults and monitor your perfect party in the perfect dress, glowing with the confidence that comes with a job well-done. You have friends and family around to enjoy time with, and maybe even an adult beverage or two, as long as some responsible adults are still watching the kids. Your kid’s party can be fun for adults, too!
You’re living it up, and you deserve to. You’ve followed the tips above and planned the perfect party. Way to go, you!
