Hello World! Welcome Friends! Everyone loves a party. Making your party a themed party can be a great jumping off point to turn your fun into a blast.
Children’s Parties
On your child’s special day, you want to plan the best party so that everyone will have a great time. Consider planning your party around one of the following suggested themes:
Rainbow Parties can be fun for smaller children. Use colorful decorations and party favors like paper lanterns and colorful candy such as M & M’s and Skittles to make the party bright and cheery.
Wet and Wild Parties can be lots of fun during the summer months. You can have water slides, bouncing balls, and other water activities for the children to keep cool and enjoy themselves.
Sports Parties focusing on your child’s favorite sport can add an element of fun to any birthday party. What about using screen printing to brand t-shirts that you can use as party favors?
Even though children’s birthday parties don’t usually have dress codes, when you are having a sports theme party, you can suggest that partygoers wear shirts representing their favorite team or get custom baseball shirts online in case they are baseball fans.
Everyone loves Dr. Suess. What about a bright and whimsical party with colorful characters like “The Cat in the Hat” and “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” decorations and games for lots of fun?
Does your child have a favorite Superhero? Tell the kids to come to the party in their favorite superhero costumes and superhero capes. Hold the best costume contest and send each child home with a framed picture of them in their costume.
How about an old-fashioned children’s party? When we were young, we had a great time at parties. Our parents didn’t prepare elaborate themes or rent out expensive venues.
Instead, we ate pizza and cake. We played musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, and duck, duck, goose. I can’t help but wonder if any parents today still have these kinds of parties for their children.
Parties for Teenagers
It can be tricky throwing a party for teens as they are in between childhood and adulthood. They will not want to have their peers see their party as childish, so you will want to do something “cool”.
You might also want to consider having a party in a venue rather than in your home if your teenager is looking for an alternative. Here are some themes to consider:
Detective Mystery parties can be a lot of fun. There are many places to find detective mystery games to engage your guests while solving a “case”.
Detective parties get your guests sleuthing and interacting to solve the mystery.
Hollywood parties can be a good idea for your teenage daughter. Add the razzle-dazzle and glitter of Hollywood to your party by having your guests dress like their favorite Hollywood stars.
How about a blast from your past with a 1980s party theme? Your teenagers will have a ton of fun rocking out the night with 1980’s nostalgia. Dressed in bright colors, with big hair, punk rockers, leggings and bangle bracelets, everyone will have loads of fun dancing the night away. Adult Parties
Throw a Game Night party for your guests. Pull out your old games from the closet like Monopoly, Dominoes, Yahtzee, Checkers, and even Twister, and stage an old-fashioned game night. Bring back your childhood days with some of the games you loved to play.
Dressing up for a Masquerade party can be lots of fun. How about a Black and Gold Masquerade theme with all of the decorations to match. You can add an elegant and mysterious ambiance by draping fabric from the ceiling down and around the room.
Do you like to sing? Are you good at it? It doesn’t matter for a Karaoke Party. You can purchase or rent a Karaoke machine while having a blast belting out tunes from your favorite bands.
Everyone loves a good Detective Story – even adults. Have a great time with your friends by adding a little mystery to your dinner. Encourage your guests to dress up like characters from Sherlock Holmes movies to add to the theme of your party.
Search online for “Sherlock Holmes Mystery Games” to make a selection from the many options available.
