Hello World! Welcome Friends! “We want to do a lot of stuff; we’re not in great shape. We didn’t get a good night’s sleep. We’re a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup.” – Jerry Seinfeld
As this quotation by Jerry Seinfeld notes, a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning solves many challenges, including surviving a night of tormented sleep.
Furthermore, it’s vital to note that, at the outset of this article, we are talking about a cup of high-quality, freshly brewed coffee. Unfortunately, a poor cup of morning coffee seems to have the opposite effect in that it is not the morning elixir that solves the previous night’s challenges.
Brewing that Perfect Coffee Every Morning
Therefore, the question that must be asked and answered is how to make the best cup of coffee just after you have woken up. A good cup of coffee is typically made starting with fresh whole bean coffee and grinding it, then brewing it. That takes quite a while, though. Another solution is to use a Nespresso machine.
The salient answer is to use a Nespresso machine.
In fact, this is only the start of the discussion. Therefore, by way of expanding on this short answer, here are three tips to guide you in the art and science of making a great cup of coffee every morning of the week:
Purchase Quality Coffee Grinds
The Nespresso machine is unique in that it requires a capsule filled with coffee grinds as the catalyst for a great cup of coffee.
Also, because Nescafe has licensed the Nespresso technology to other brands, different machines work with pods shaped specifically to suit the brand and model’s specific construction. Thus, it is essential to ensure that the coffee pods that you buy will fit the machine that you own.
Additionally, there are inferior quality capsules available for purchase on the market. They are slightly cheaper than the branded pods; however, the quality of the coffee they produce is inferior to the branded capsules.
Make Sure you Buy Fresh Coffee Pods
Coffee grinds can go stale if they are stored incorrectly or if they are stored for a long time before being used. This is also true for coffee pods.
There will also be an expiration date on the coffee capsule packaging. Therefore, it is vital to make sure you check the expiration date before purchasing a container of capsules. And, it goes without saying, that it is important to decide how many cups of coffee you drink per day and only buy what you will use before the expiration date is reached.
Use the Correct Water
It is interesting to note that the water that is used to make the coffee has an impact on both the coffee taste and the Nespresso’s machine’s life span.
In summary, piped water is either considered to be hard or soft. Hard water is full of different minerals, including lime, magnesium, and calcium. On the other hand, soft water has very few minerals and irons in the water.
Therefore, if you use hard water to make a cup of coffee, calcium and lime deposits will build upon the inside of the machine, impacting its functioning negatively. Consequently, it will have to be descaled on a regular basis. Hard water also does not blend with the coffee molecules, resulting in a weaker brew.
Using water that is too soft also has a negative effect on both the coffee maker and the quality of the resultant brew. Thus, the best water to use falls in the middle between hard and soft water.
