Hello World! Welcome Friends! There are a few rooms that don’t get their fair time in the sun. The garden house, the traditional lounge room, the official study, and the sunroom. These rooms have one thing in common. They come from a design background that wishes to give the occupants leisure and style. It’s not done purely through the materials of the furniture, nor the colors dominating the decor. Relaxation and comfort are provided by the fact that, when you’re in the rooms, your mindset changes. The atmosphere and the ambiance of the room are incredibly important. These rooms shout loudly, that they are unlike any of the other rooms in your home. This inherently makes them rarer, but here’s how you should style your sunroom.
Simple yet Complex
The flooring should not be hard, per se. Avoid hardwood flooring at all costs. It’s even better to have carpet than oak, yew or walnut floors. The reason being, the sunroom is one which you should be able to traverse barefoot. It should feel supportive but not cold and rigid. Therefore, avoid stone tiles or rough stones as well. What you should fit in your sunroom is clay tile flooring. This will give you a semi-hard surface, which heats up steadily. This allows the heat in the room to be trapped for longer, thus you can use your sunroom to look up at the stars during autumn and winter. During the summer months, you will need to be careful but only on very hot days whereby you leave the blinds open. Orange, beige and yellow clay tiles would be the better look, as it’s complementary to the tone of the natural light pouring into the room.
Incorporating Leisure Features
The sunroom is unlike a solarium. A solarium will have glass sheet panels for the roof as well as the walls. A sunroom will keep a solid structure roof, a more traditional style. Therefore this gives you more control over how much light enters the room. More leisure features can, therefore, be placed in the room such as a cozy dining area. Wooden decking furniture and dining table would be excellent to create a nice corner to have brunch. A drinks station would also be excellent to house your alcoholic beverages without them being directly in sunlight. Speak to House sunroom builders that have knowledge and expertise in building these types of features proportionally in the room. They can also merge your patio with your sunroom, giving you outdoors to your indoor leisure living space.
Seasonal Touches
As the sunroom is one of the only rooms that are both indoors and outdoors, it’s somewhat of a style conundrum. However, you must confidently approach the challenge by adding seasonal touches. When it’s summer, add flowers and bright ornaments into the room. When it’s winter, holly bush, red berries and acorns should be scattered around the room.
The sunroom is one of the greatest additions to any property. It’s a fantastic place to come and relax and it’s where your personal style can shine through the most without restriction.
