Hello World! Welcome Friends! Your dream home may be very large but that doesn’t mean that what you’re currently living in can’t be dreamy. Even if you are in your dream home you may find that there have been some compromises, and the kitchen is on the small side.
Of course, you’ve probably looked into extending it. But in many cases, this isn’t a viable option. Instead, you need to make the most of the space you have available. The good news is that you can still have a stunning kitchen, even if the space is on the smaller side.
Review What You Need
Australia is generally warm and most of us enjoy cooking outside. This can be used to your advantage. Take a look around your current kitchen and identify all the items you only use in the summer.
Remove these from your current kitchen and create a custom alfresco kitchen in your backyard. Ideally, it should be partially covered and right next to your existing kitchen. Doing this reduces the amount of space you need in your small kitchen.
Galley Style
The best option with a small kitchen is to go with a galley-style arrangement. That means cupboards on each side with a gap down the middle. This allows the maximum storage space and working space while making the kitchen very practical.
Don’t forget that you’ll be looking for separate wall cupboards to base units, you’ll need the space between for countertops.
Adopt an L
Another viable approach, especially if there is only one entry point to your kitchen is to go for an L or even a U shape. This increases the storage and countertop space in your kitchen while maintaining the advantages of a galley-style system.
In short, you’ll be using every available piece of space to create a small but useable kitchen.
Bright Colors
In order to make your small kitchen look larger, you’ll want to choose a light floor and pale walls. This combination allows you to make the space feel bigger. You can also add a statement countertop that will lift the appeal of the kitchen without affecting the feel of space.
Move The Appliances
The kitchen triangle tells you to place the cooker, sink, and refrigerator in a triangle shape. This ensures ease of movement around the kitchen. It’s especially effective when dealing with a small kitchen.
However, while kitchens generally need sinks and dishwashers, you don’t have to keep the freezer or washing machine in the kitchen.
Instead, see if there is another spot in your home that you can practically keep these appliances. It will create additional space in your kitchen.
Remember Its Yours
Having custom-built kitchen units allows you to put your own stamp on the kitchen. It won’t matter how big or small it is if you love the space. That’s what is really important and makes a small kitchen look great, your acceptance of the space.
Make it your own and you’ll enjoy cooking in there, which is what the kitchen is for!

These are some great ideas! If you design a kitchen the right way, it will look amazing no matter what size it is. I’ve seen some bad large kitchens and some gorgeous small kitchens. I might even take the bright colors advice myself and paint my kitchen cabinets to change up its look. Thanks for taking the time to write good content!
