Hello World! Welcome Friends! I have another space completed in the house full of baby diarrhea paint color. But, before we dive into Chloe’s closet reveal, let me give you an office update. The furniture is still on its way. I have since adjusted my expectations and I’m now hoping that everything is at least delivered by Thanksgiving! Trust me, there is plenty in this house to keep me busy until said furniture arrives.
Now, onto Chloe’s closet. I’m such a bad blogger. I completely forgot to take a before picture. Imagine if you will, all of the shelves painted the ever so lovely baby diarrhea color as well as the trim. The walls were what I call a dirty cream. Anyhoo, let’s get to it.
Here are a couple of pictures of her room makeover. That is the closet door right next to the desk. Click HERE to see her room makeover.
We are trying to keep things off of the floor if you know what I mean. So, that meant getting her some shoe boxes, wall hooks and new hangers. I opted to keep her rolling backpack on the floor instead of putting it up on one of her free shelves. It’s a sturdy piece of luggage and just easier for her to get to it with it tucked behind her shirts rather than pulling it down from a shelf. This way, she can easily pack her bag without much assistance when she heads out to a sleepover.
The hangers and shoeboxes were purchased from Amazon. I’ll be sure to link them below in case you’re interested. She has plenty of space on the shelves and one completely free rod to add more clothes. Don’t forget she has a dresser that is full of her pj’s, undergarments, dance and athletics clothes. Here’s a little pic of that below.
Back to the closet. I love these hangers from Amazon. They look great and nothing slips off.
These two purses used to be mine when I was in my early 20’s. It’s fun to give her some of my things that I no longer use.
The puppy dog purse is a Brighton Purse and the little pink purse is a cute Coach Purse.
She didn’t want a box for Cowboy Boots because she likes to look at them! LOL! I completely understand. I do the same thing with a couple of my purses.
Wrapping around the closet are her jeans, leggings, dress pants, a couple of skirts, vests, and sweaters.
I love the two hooks that I found on Amazon. They are perfect for her purses and robe.
I’ve been trying to get her to pick out her clothes for the next day and hang them up here after she has had her nightly shower. However, we have not been successful in establishing this little routine just yet on a consistent basis.
Okay, you caught me. Just look at that ring of unpainted ceiling around the light fixture. We previously had a different light fixture, but the way the globe attached to the base of the light was not great at all. The globe fell 4 times, breaking on the 4th time. So, this cube number came in early last week and I didn’t have time to get the ceiling touched up. However, Chloe just informed me that she thinks it would look cool to have the ceiling painted the Inky Blue color that is the color of the shelves. We’ll see. I’ve come to the conclusion that I better start liking painting ceilings. I shall become a painting ceiling expert instead of being grumpy about it.
This little hamper is just plain cute! It’s also quite sturdy as well.
It’s a good closet even if it is difficult to take pictures. She has plenty of space to grow into and as she gets taller the top rod will be much easier to reach.
Paint Colors:
On the walls and ceiling: Sherwin Williams First Star 7646.
On the shelves: Sherwin Williams Inky Blue 9149
On the trim inside of closet: Sherwin Williams High Reflective White 7757
That’s it for this week’s project. I had hoped that by next week I would be able to give you a preview of the Study, but I don’t think that is going to happen. Next week I plan on sharing an update to the first section of the Entry Hall. Hope you’ll pop back by.

Looks fantastic! I am color coordinated and hanger coordinated, but your shoes look way better organized than mine = LOL! You have inspired me :).

You are too sweet, Jodie! Her shoes seemed to end up in one big pile on the closet floor. So, I thought maybe having the shoe boxes might help her want to keep them organized. So far, so good! Thanks for stopping by for a look. Do you still host your link party?

I’ve been looking for ideas for my son’s closet as he wants it to look cleaner (As do I!) and will certainly be taking some of these ideas for his closet and helping him organise it to something he enjoys

The pile of shoes has been our issue. So far, she has been putting her shoes in the boxes. Let’s hope she keeps it up. Good luck with your son’s closet! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

That looks great, Kathryn. Even if Chloe doesn’t wholeheartedly appreciate all the organization and prompts now, she will later. That’s great organization. When we downsized last year, all our new closets had been custom designed, and there were a slew of wooden hangers, all much too thick. I still haven’t gotten rid of those, but have replaced several with those type you’ve bought. They are simply the best for holding and maximizing space!

Thank you, Rita! I love those wooden hangers, but you are right, they are too bulky. Thank you for popping over for a visit! Happy week to you!

The closet looks great! It sounds like the paint before was an interesting color choice! I love when my spaces are organized and everything’s easy to get to. Now, the big question is will she keep it this nice?! 😉 I’m visiting from the Friday Favorites link up today. Have a great weekend Kathryn!

Here’s hoping she can keep it nice and neat. Thanks for stopping by, Marielle! Have a great weekend!

Great job! That light fixture was an awesome choice for a modern teenage room. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing the office furniture. #HomeMattersParty
