Hello World! Welcome Friends! If you’re bored of the same-old, same-old vacation ideas, then perhaps it’s time for a change. But this begs the question of what type of change is best for you. Do you swap the white sand beaches for a city break? Or do you go a little further?
Do you, perhaps, try something totally out of your comfort zone?
There’s more to the world than just things you feel comfortable with. Even though you have a blast every time you go away, it’s still vital to try out new things now and again. With this in mind, here are some options for your next vacation. So why not try a culture trip that gets you out of your comfort zone?
See a Show
A lot of people enjoy musicals or theater productions, but not everyone does. However, it might be that you’ve not seen the right one for you. Should you or someone else treat the group to Broadway tickets, how can you possibly say no?
It might not exactly be your cup of tea, but it’s a great way to expand your horizons while also getting to experience a city that you’ve probably never been to before. Most theatergoers make a day of it, with dinner, drinks, the show, and then let the night take them wherever it desires.
Go On Safari
If you’re an animal lover, a safari tour is one of the best and most exciting ways to get out of your comfort zone. You will travel across the Savannah in van and spot all manner of animals in their natural habitat while also learning about conservation efforts.
At night, there’s a chance you’ll sleep on the roof of your van, and while your surroundings will be mostly silent, there’s always something lurking through the darkness looking for something to eat, so make sure you don’t fall off.
Try Backpacking
Backpacking is indeed more popular among gap year kids, but if there is any way to take you out of your comfort zone, it’s bunking with a group of drunken, noisy, and naive travelers discovering the world for the first time.
Unfortunately, that’s a bit of a negative reputation to give them, but luckily, what you’ll find is hostel after hostel of eager and enthusiastic youngsters who want to get to know everybody. If you’re tired of hotels and on-demand room service, backpacking through South American, Europe, or Asia could be the spark you need.
Test Yourself
There are so many things to do worldwide that the chance to test yourself is always around the corner. Testing yourself can be anything you’ve ever felt like doing, but never thought you could. So consider climbing Machu Picchu, think about trying surfing for the first time, or head to Khao San Road and munch down a delicious and protein-rich fried cockroach.
Finding Comfort In Unlikely Places
Getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new can be terrifying at first. However, you might find it far more rewarding than lazing on a sun lounger all day long. Who knows, you could even discover a brand new passion that will set you up for many more destinations still to come.
