Hello World! Welcome Friends! Spring is only a couple of weeks away, which means that there is a lot of housework to get done. They don’t call it spring cleaning for nothing, and you need to be on top of it to get your home ready for the new season. Everyone gets their home prepared in some way or another when they are approaching a new season. You may not get your sleeves rolled up and start scrubbing, but you may switch out the cushion covers for a pastel over a beige!
There are always changes to be made in the Spring months, and you can get started with our tips below on how to get ready for the season. Let’s check them out!
- The winter wardrobe needs to be put away, and the lighter clothes need to step forward. It doesn’t matter which closet you’re thinking about; you need to get in there and start sorting. All the clothes and bits you hoarded over the winter are about ready to be swapped for the lighter items, so dig in and get decluttering.
- Speak to the HVAC company and get your units serviced. You want to start running the AC soon, and for that, you need to make sure that the vents are all appropriately cleaned and dust-free.
- You could either speak to a housekeeping company, or you can get your bucket of cleaning equipment ready. The whole house could use a refresher when the new season comes, and that means getting the icky jobs like the back of the refrigerator and the skirting boards appropriately cleaned, too.
- You should get into the backyard and start clearing away the dead weeds and grass in favor of the sunshine pounding down on it. The sun in Spring may not be as hot as the summer, but that doesn’t mean that your garden couldn’t use a refresher.
- Clearing the gutters is a must after a winter of rain and snow. The guck that builds up in the guttering isn’t something you want to clear by yourself, though. You need to ask for help and for that, so call in the roofers to give you a hand. You’ll have squeaky clean gutters that look fantastic.
- As Spring approaches, it’s time to put back the throws on the sofas and start thinking about taking up the rugs. All those ways that you layered your house in the cold months just don’t need to be there anymore!
- Clear out the car while you’re busy cleaning everything for the Spring. Your vehicle likely hasn’t had a wash or a wax for a while, and you can get ready for those brighter days with a car that’s squeaky clean and ready for anything.
- Lastly, think about you! Could you use a new look? We think that the best thing that you can do in the Spring is to overhaul yourself as much as your new home. Getting ready for the spring months is about so much more than just your house and car – look after you, too.
