Hello World! Welcome Friends! I’m incredibly excited to be participating in the One Room Challenge again this year! A big thank you must go out to Linda at One Room Challenge or organizing this Challenge and encouraging us to tackle one space in our house.
This past Fall I transformed our kitchen with a paint update as well as organizing several key spaces in the kitchen. You can check out the transformation HERE.
This previous Spring I transformed our breakfast nook. You can check out that transformation HERE.
And, Fall of 2016, I transformed Chloe’s room in our previous home. Click HERE to head to that transformation.
This time around the Powder Room is getting a makeover. I had started a makeover last year, but just never found the time or the motivation to complete it. Let’s take a look at what we are working with.
As you can see, the Powder Room is located off of the back hallway just past the kitchen and breakfast nook. I’m not crazy about the flooring and I’ve already picked out tile flooring to replace the floors in the Powder Room, Breakfast Room, Kitchen, Back Hallway and Laundry Room. Unfortunately, my flooring guys are booked until late Summer. However, in the meantime, I may do a temporary DIY to get the tiles to flow more with the design I have in mind.
The pedestal sink is staying. The faucet, hardware and lighting will be replaced. The mirror was going to get a paint makeover, but she was a casualty during Hurricane Harvey. I might have a mirror in my stash that might work in here, but it will require some spray paint.
As my readers know, we’ve already changed the wall paint to lighten up the space and we have added Plantation Shutters.
The Plan
This transformation will focus on a stencil provided by Cutting Edge Stencils and moulding we are currently installing. Also, storage is an issue in this space. But, I was digging through a pile of shelving that I have and I think I have something that will work for housing toiletries and hand towels. She just needs a spray paint makeover.
This was our inspiration for our moulding look. I pulled up Jennifer’s Instagram on my phone while Greg and I were picking out moulding. Hopefully, we can get this portion finished up this weekend so I can start painting the stencil. Below are pictures of the items we’ve already picked out. As you can tell, we are pulling out the gold!

That Black and White wallpaper is eye-catching. It will be a good background for pictures too.

Looks like some fantastic inspiration! It’s so hard sitting on the sidelines for this round of the ORC, but there’s too much going on over here. Can’t wait to see how you transform your bathroom, because that’s what I’ll be tackling when I get back into it in the fall. Thanks so much for sharing at the #happynowlinkup!
