Hello World! Welcome Friends! Ready or not, the holidays are fast approaching! Even though it is still hot as blazes here in Houston, I thought I better get some Fall decorating done. And, to top it off I actually made a wreath! This is completely out of character for me since I’m not the crafty type. But, my previous Fall wreath went to wreath heaven last year and I thought I should try to come up with something myself.
Simple Fall Porch
Since our porch is not huge, I wanted to keep it simple and uncluttered.
While Chloe was in Dance Class last week, I popped into Lowe’s to pass the time and could not pass up the mums. If you haven’t picked up any mums yet this year, be sure to stop by your Lowe’s. They have a great assortment this year.
The black box is the controller for our outdoor lights. I haven’t figured out how to hide it yet, but I should probably give it a good cleaning and a fresh coat of black paint.
All of the planter pots I had on hand. The yellow one comes from the collection of pots I painted 2 houses ago. You can see that post HERE.
Now to my wreath. Everything was purchased at Hobby Lobby except for the hanger and the antlers.
Working my way around the wreath, I secured the florals and antlers with floral wire.
I like that she is gloriously unkempt. That’s how I see Fall. A beautiful mess!
This planter is by far one of my favorites! I’ve had her for years and will gladly move her from house to house!
Just look how gorgeous they are!
Cozi loves to follow me around when I take pictures. She also loves to be close by when I clean. She is my little shadow all day. I think she misses Chloe while she is at school…so, I’m her companion throughout the day.
Looking into the Foyer. Pardon the nail sticking out of the wall. I haven’t decided what I want to hang up in this space. Also, the white chest will eventually make it’s way into our bathroom when we start work in that area.
Something had captured Cozi’s attention so much so that I could not get her to come in with me.
That’s it for my Simple Fall Porch! The Powder Room and Chloe’s Bedroom Makeover are nearing completion!! We are still waiting on a dresser for Chloe’s room to be delivered and I need to shop for a chair for her room as well as artwork and mirror. For the Powder Room, I need to spray paint the hardware on a shelving unit I purchased and I need to shop for a new trash can and little pretties. If all goes well, I may be able to get it done, take pictures and show you the Powder Room reveal either this coming weekend or next week!
