Hello World! Welcome Friends! With the holidays here, many of us will be hitting the road to visit friends and family for Christmas. Before you load the family up in the car you need to make an assessment of your vehicle to make sure it is safe and ready for travel in Winter.

Prior to figuring out what snacks to pack and the playlist, the vehicle needs a thorough look over as well as putting together an emergency kit. I found a great checklist on kwik-fit to help put together an emergency kit.
Emergency Kit
An emergency kit can consist of:
- Spare batteries
- First aid kit
- Bottled water
- Blanket
- Ice Scraper
Vehicle Check
Before hitting the road have the following checked out.
- Tire Tread
- Tire Pressure
- Spare Tire
- Tire Repair Kit
- Coolant
- Oil
- Windshield Wipers
- Window Wash
- Window Condition
- Lights
- Air Conditioner/Heater
- Battery
- Wheel Balancing & Alignment
- Dash Warning Lights
Make sure to schedule an appointment with your mechanic early on to address any problems your vehicle may have. It’s important to install a car GPS tracker and make sure your vehicle is in tip top shape before you take your Winter trip. After all your family is precious cargo.
With a little planning your family trip can be carefree and most importantly safe.
