Hello World! Welcome Friends! Well we have had a couple of hiccups. The bedding came in from Pottery Barn Teen and she loves it! However, the blues in the bedding were not coordinating well with the new wall color. So, we have had a paint color change. This is not all bad news. As you know, we have no space to empty out her room of furniture so I could knock out the painting. I have been working on one wall at a time. But, as we have been working around the room, all of the walls needed some sort of repair. So, painting had stopped so we could address the walls and get those repaired. So, I really only got one full wall along with the trim painted. The other hiccup was the original desk we wanted was no longer available as well as the bookcase mentioned in last week’s post. So, a new desk and bookcase was ordered.
The bedding is quite dreamy. But the blues in the picture are a bit different in person.
New Paint
The new paint color is SW 9149 Inky Blue in a Matte finish. This is the same color that is going on the doors and trim in her room. Except the doors and trim are high gloss. Below is a true representation of the color on one of the doors in our Entry Hall.
Furniture
Here is the new desk that should be here next week.
And the new, smaller bookcase which is scheduled to arrive the end of next week. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
We also have new white sheets and a white bed skirt ordered from Pottery Barn as well. That’s it for now. Next week, I really hope to show you the room painted and the lighting installed!

Looks like everything is coming together! Will the bar at the bottom of the desk be an issue for a chair or her feet? I want to use a console table for a desk, too, but always run into this situation. Thoughts?

We discussed the bar, and she said she liked it and that it wouldn’t bother her. Now, about her chair…the chair will normally stay in the corner by the window. When she wants to sit at her desk, she’ll just pull it over and then when finished, put it back in the corner. Hope that helps.
