Hello World! Welcome Friends! If you have a very small home, then you will know how frustrating things can be sometimes. You might feel as though you just don’t have room for much furniture and that you are also not able to lift the overall look and feel of your home as a result. If you want to get around that then you’ll be glad to know that this is very easy to do. Take a look below to find out more.
Focus on Multipurpose
The first thing that you need to do is focus on things that are multipurpose. This can include ottomans and coffee tables as well. It’s essential that you try and squeeze in as much adequate seating as you can, but make sure that you really don’t overdo it. If you add too many coffee tables or even large ottomans then you will soon find that the space feels way too small and this is the last thing that you need. If you want to make the space really come together then try and introduce a standing light as this can easily be put in the corner.
Create Unity Where Possible
It’s well worth having a few pieces of furniture that are all in the same color palette for the walls. Even larger items, such as matching armchairs can easily blend into the room. The great thing about this is that it will visually enlarge the space. If you want to have even more continuity, then you may want to try and add the same material with the chair pillows as well. When you do this, you will add an element of balance and this can really work in your favor.
Work with the Layout
It’s so important that you are able to work with the layout of your home. When you have an open plan living room, it can be hard for you to define the different parts of your space. One way for you to work around this would be for you to add a standing light against the wall where the two spaces meet. You might also want to have a rug which lines up with the sofa as well, as this will help you to really bring everything together. It will also make the space look much larger.
Focus on Built-In Options
The great thing about built in wardrobes is that they can easily be used to create more space in your home. If you build them yourself, or even hire a professional service to do it for you then you can add rails and any extra shelves that you might need as well. This will go a long way when it comes to the overall amount of clutter in your home and you would be surprised at how much it could help you to open up the room. Wasted space is the best way for you to make a room feel small, so fill up your alcoves and open up the centre of the room to make the biggest difference.
