Hello World! Welcome Friends! I trust all had a lovely weekend. Greg and I put up 6 Christmas trees yesterday! Mind you, they have only been set up and fluffed. For my long time readers, you will remember that I had a 14 ft. tree that we used at our very first home together. When we moved to the Colonial, the ceilings could not accommodate a 14 ft. tree, so she stayed in her box in a closet. Well, that sucker is now set up and fluffed and I took an inventory of all of the lights, ribbon and ornaments that I have. I will need to get a ton of lights since the 14 ft. tree has absolutely no lights at all. Also, I will need to purchase a ton more garland since this is the largest and grandest banister we have ever had. Looks like Hobby Lobby, Michaels’s and Target are on the list for today.
And, this year, I’m hosting Thanksgiving for the first time for my little family and my Mom. I hope you can pop back in tomorrow for a little visit where I will be sharing our Thanksgiving menu that is not quite traditional as well as all of the recipes. Greg and I had such a good time dreaming up our meal, and hope you can find some inspiration to help you make your preparations.
And, can I just say, I am so happy that I am finished with the One Room Challenge! That kitchen brought me to tears a couple of days. It seemed like it was the never ending project! The day after I finished the kitchen, I remember thinking, “Oh wow, I get to do laundry and clean and I don’t mind one bit!” We really like the way the kitchen turned out! I bet you ARE happy that ORC is finished! I can’t even begin to think of taking something like that on this time of year! Thanks for the feature! My husband and I used to always have pasta after Thanksgiving because we were so sick of turkey by then.
