Hello World! Welcome Friends! Whether you have a large porch, covered and takes up half the front of the house, or you have a porch that is a tiny space as an entrance to your home, you need to make it one that really has an impact on your guests. There are so many things that you can do to spruce up a space, outside the home, it’s just a matter of deciding what’s best for you.
The main thing is that you are making an entrance count, giving your home curb appeal, and upgrading the space in the right way. Let’s explore some of the best ways that you can ensure that your porch is beautiful.
Seating
Not every porch has the space for seating, but if yours does, you can ensure that you add comfortable seating with the right fabrics to suit the outside climates. You want to choose materials that won’t fade in the sunshine, and you want to create an area for conversation, too. This can make your porch look instantly welcoming!
Lighting
There may be windows, but that doesn’t mean you’re getting adequate lighting. Choosing wall pack lights can make all the difference to your porch, and it can help you to light up the area to make it cozy. You want to be able to sit somewhere you can see, so the right thing here would be to add lighting – but get the professionals to help!
Add Privacy
With the right vertical blinds or curtains, you can filter out the harshest sunshine and create privacy at the same time. You can also choose to add pretty curtain ties for when you’re not using the porch. It’s an excellent way to add a personal touch to an outside area! If you want to add privacy and greenery, think about a creeping ivy on the exterior of the porch.
Splashes of Green
Large urns or planters filled with the flowers of the season can get you in the happiest mood. You can use hanging baskets outside with colorful flowers, and use a variety of pot plant sizes to really create something beautiful to look at.
Add Some Accessories
A front porch can really be jazzed up with accessories, and these can include lanterns, candles, and candle holders (out of the reach of children!), rugs in the small space, and accent pillows. The most important thing to remember is not to pick anything that could get ruined in the weather, especially if your porch is exposed to the elements.
Spruce Up Your Door
The state of your front door says a lot about the state of your home, so you want it to look tidy and rich with color. Adding new fixtures (especially a doorknocker!) and an elaborate number can make your front door look lovely. Wreaths on the door are as good for summer as they are for Christmas, too!
Your porch can help you to make an entrance; let’s get decorating now for a big finish!
