Hello World! Welcome Friends! Some people are morning people, which is great. We’re chuffed to bits on your behalf. But, for the rest of us, mornings are just the worst, so you can imagine just how much we disagree with Monday mornings. These are the epitome of everything we don’t stand for. We disagree with so much we started getting that feeling of dread in the pit of our tummy at noon on Sunday. It’s like eating bad shrimp or something.
That’s why we thought we would go on a sort of mini-mission to find out whether Monday’s had to feel like this or whether there was something we could do to make them amazing; a day we actually look forward to instead of spending two-thirds of the weekend fretting about them.
So, without further ado, here are a handful of ways you can spruce Monday up a little bit and make it a million times less dreadful.
1. Make Monday Feel Like A Weekend
Just because it is a Monday doesn’t mean it has to be mundane, dull, boring or morose. Instead, do something you would normally do on a weekend. Head to a happy hour with your (possibly) better half, meet up with a friend, host a games night, head to the theatre – anything that will shake off that Monday feeling. Yes, your brain will go into shock, but you’ll feel great.
2. Feel Good Mondays
As superficial as you might think, slipping into a new dress or spending a few minutes extra on your makeup will make you want to get up, get out and how Monday how much fun you are (which is a side of you Monday has never seen before). It could be a new dress, it could be a new outfit or you might do your hair in a super-gorgeous style. Whatever it is, you’ll feel excited about the week ahead.
3. Wake Up Feeling Refreshed
If you don’t wake up feeling refreshed, you’re going to struggle to force out a smile, feel your feet tap and enjoy the life you have. That’s why you need to make a few changes, and the best of the bunch is investing in a new mattress. Yup. View MattressLife.com, read their reviews and replace your bumpy old mattress. But don’t stop there. On Sunday night, eat dinner earlier than normal, skip the coffee, the wine, and the chocolate and, best of all, leave the curtains slightly open. Waking up to sun rays dancing about your bedroom will make you feel a million times happier than getting woken by an alarm.
4. Make A Monday Morning Playlist
You might have a list of favorite songs from your teenage years or a throwback CD you can’t get enough of, or even stumbled across a Spotify playlist that you can’t help but dance to. The point is: stick it on because nothing makes life more fun than these little pick-me-ups. It may work, it may not, but music almost always makes us feel amazing. It does something to the soul that nothing else can.
