Hello World! Welcome Friends! I hope all are doing well. While I’ve been waiting on the Study furniture to arrive, I’ve been checking little projects off of the to do list. One of those little projects was to paint the ceiling in the first section of the Entry Hall. Below is a shot of the Entry Hall looking back to the front door.
After I finished painting the Study walls (and, no I haven’t finished the Study ceiling), I decided that the Entry Hall needed a little bit of drama on the ceiling. And, boom! There it is in all of its dramatic glory.
The gold chandelier looks amazing with its new background of a perfect shade of blue. Surprise, this is the same color I painted the Study.
It’s Salty Dog #9177 from Sherwin Williams. I love this color so much that it will be making more appearances throughout the house.
The new paint color coordinates nicely with the blue on the doors which is Inky Blue #9149 from Sherwin Williams.
What do you think of my dramatic, blue ceiling? Do you like? I hope you do! On another note, I got a call from Ethan Allen saying that I should expect a call on Friday to set a delivery time for next week. Well, now I really have to finish the ceiling! Oh, and the chandelier for the Study came in, so we will need to get that hung this weekend. And, clear out the room of all of the existing furniture. Good thing I love a deadline and work well under pressure.

Your home is truly beautiful. I love the light fitting and would never think to put a darker colour on the ceiling but it really works here!

Wow, what a simple but impactful upgrade! You have me wondering which ceilings I need to paint. I came over from the To Grandma’s House We Go link party.

Thank you so much, Heidi! Ceilings are not fun to paint, but they pack a big punch!

That color is wonderful and really does make the chandelier pop! It looks great and I’m glad you brought a little bit of the color from the study to the small space. Helps to connect the areas of the house. Thanks for sharing this week. Looking forward to seeing the study. #HomeMattersParty
