Hello World! Welcome Friends! Well, floors have always been the most visually expressive component of any interior design. And nothing has given the interiors a better expression than wooden floors. That being said, this expression has been changing faces all its life. Not completely, but the variation is worth mentioning. We have been through the change in designs, the transition in colors and even the combination of floors with carpets. So now in a very quick read, you can summarize all the styles and combinations of wood or timber floors and help you decide how your interior is going to look like.
Timber flooring trends 2018:
Well, the variation and styles of timber can do wonders to the appearance of your interior. Calling it the accent of the room will not be the mistake as it does speak to you about the fancy dress up of the house that you aimed for.
Now regarding the timber flooring, you need to know the variation that comes with them. They vary in color, arrangement, though is not limited to these.
The colors:
Yellow and beige: For a bright but a little warm look the yellow beige is the perfect color. It gives the golden river look in the sunlight, keeps the place bright and gives a little hint of warmth, more like a little sunlight in the house.
Red and Orange: This color is like more sunlight, and you can say a lot warmer than the yellow one. It makes the room more vibrant.
Brown: This colors portrays a nice look of mud that in turn gives the comforting and relaxing feel closest to the earth’s natural look. It gives accent to any types of interior color scheme in the room.
White: The marble and ceramic floors have always been complimenting the background with their bright white color. Though the white color also gives the same and even better feel to the room if used with timber. Enough light and brightness and the feel of the hardwood is amazing.
Grey: The grey color has a lot of color versions from the brightest to the darkest including the stoney looks. This is the classiest color to compliment a well-dressed, tuxedo worthy interior. It works great with monochromic themes.
Black: The black has its own class of class but does not really work well with closed or small rooms.
Sizes: Let’s talk about the trends in timber flooring according to size. The one size different from the regular and traditional are the wide timber planks. Though the planks are also available in whatever width required.
Arrangement: After choosing the color and size for your timber, the arrangement is also the one component that will add style to your flooring. The timber can be arranged in different patterns such as parquets, overlaying flooring, timber floor stain or weave patterns.
Finally, the hottest of the trends in timber flooring is the combinations of timbers and carpets. The carpets can be smoothly and beautifully transitioned with the timber flooring with designed cuts on edge and then the carpet taking on the rest of the floor. Thick carpets used in the flooring can also maintain the height of the timber when used along with the timber. Mind you, the carpet is not here to cover the beautiful floors made but to act alongside as an accent with a different feel and look and only make an effort to make your place look better, a little more rewarding.
Conclusion-So now you just don’t know the latest surviving trends in flooring but also the new ones being born out there. Happy decorating!

I really like what you said about using a gray timber floor for monochromatic themes. This would actually look really cute in my kitchen which is mostly gray and white. When we get the floor installed it would be really helpful to have a professional help us out.
