Hello World! Welcome Friends! Working from home, I spend the majority of my day in my office. So, of course I had to decorate it for Christmas. This will probably be the last year I will decorate this tree with ornaments. More on that later on in the post. So, let’s get to it, shall we?
Jewel Tone Christmas Office
The jewel tone colors look so vibrant with the deep Navy walls as a backdrop. I know I’m not on the band wagon of light and bright walls, but I just love this color. And since the ceiling is 15ft., it can handle the darkness without making the space look like a cave.
The main color for this tree is gold with jewel tone ornaments accenting.
I used these vases to hide the cord in this shot. I eventually ended up turning the tree mid photo shoot and then added another vase. You’ll see that below.
Little pretties on my desk next to my desk lamp.
The reason why I’m not putting ornaments on next year is because this tree is very difficult to decorate because the branches are very wide and fluffy. I can’t hook an ornament on a branch like my other trees. I have to use floral wire attached to the ornament and wrap the wire around the branch to secure the ornament. It’s very time consuming and anyway, I think it’s time to dream up a new decor scheme.
My green vase from China and the scrapbook from South Korea have a couple of pretties surrounding them. I probably could have put an arrangement in the vase, but I’m purposefully trying to not have an explosion of glitz and glitter. Sometimes, I can be pretty heavy handed with Christmas decor.
I love his side profile!
Over on the piano, I filled a bowl with beads, silver and gold ornaments and a couple of picks.
Again, just keeping it simple. These angels came in a set of four from a grocery store about ten years ago. We’ve had a mishap with one of them years ago, but we were able to mend her.
These two sit on the other side of the arrangement.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my Jewel Tone Christmas Office.

This tree is just beautiful but it does sound like a bit of a faff to add ornaments. Maybe next year you could just use garlands or ribbons and drape them, would that be easier? Or perhaps something very natural where you just nestle pinecones and other natural materials in the gaps? Or could you create some mini ornament “bouquets” and attach them somehow, so you have less things to add to the tree but it still ends up with lots on it (does that make any sense????!!) Anyway for this year the work was worth it and it looks stunning!

Thank you, Julie! Yes, your suggestions make perfect sense. I’ve already started planning what I will do next year. I think a beautiful garland, beads and ribbons will probably make an appearance. Hope your holiday season is going well!

The jewel tones look so beautiful! Our kitchen is that same navy blue color and I love it. Much of our house is filled with rich dark colors because we too have big open spaces and lots and lots of windows that flood our rooms with natural light so they can handle the tones well. Can’t wait to see what theme you come up with next year.
