Hello World! Welcome Friends! As summer is on approach, we might think of more ways to make the most of our garden. Regardless of how big or small your garden is, you deserve to turn it into something that feels very similar to your home, like an extra room. Gardens can be unforgotten spaces, especially during the winter months, and come spring or summer, it requires a lot of work to bring it back up to speed. But creating a garden room that is like an extra room of your home is more than just purchasing furniture to give it that homely feel, there is a lot more you can do.
Use Your Garden for Longer
Consider investing in elements that will encourage you to stay outside longer. In the summer, you want to make the most of the summer sunshine, but you also may want to think about going beyond mere furniture. The options are endless. You could set up a film projector to make an outdoor or movie theater, set up a mini bar to serve drinks, and of course, there is the all-important barbecue. These days, you can purchase a modular outdoor kitchen with features like a pizza oven and a BBQ grill to make it a space that you will enjoy just beyond it being a place to relax. It can be a place where you can hold a full-scale event.
Don’t Forget to Paint
Painting external walls and fences instantly transforms your garden. When you want to make your garden an extension of your home aesthetically and stylistically, adding color is the perfect way to freshen up the space. If your garden is starting to look a little bit tatty, focus on fixing up the fencing. Adding color is the best way to switch up your fencing, and painting the woods makes it more protective against the elements. You can find many wood paints for your fences to protect against the elements. Once you have painted your fences, you can add more color around the area with plant pots, which can make a big difference during the winter months when there is a distinct lack of color. Also, you could paint your window sills in contrasting colors to create a stylish outdoor room.
Create Zoning Areas
When it comes to outdoor spaces, you need to ensure that every area has its own distinct purpose. Look at a space like your kitchen, it has many little areas that serve specific purposes, such as dining areas, cooking, and even relaxing. You can use the plants as a natural boundary. Rather than putting your plants up to the edges of the garden, you can use them to create corners, therefore making the space more sectional, and improving each individual aspect, so you can enjoy each individual area on its own terms, rather than thinking that the garden is one big space.
Modular Furniture
If you want to make the space more flexible, but you don’t have much room, you can find flexible modular furniture. This is the perfect way to make the most of your outdoor space. You can purchase items like benches that go under tables, or recliner chairs that fold away. The great thing about these types of furniture is that they double up as high-quality furniture that can mimic your indoor styles. In addition, you should consider waterproof fabrics. We want to create a room that feels like our indoor components, but we don’t have the weather on our side. Waterproof fabrics are perfect for cushion covers and make a wonderful addition of color to the space. Any waterproof items like a rug instantly hides the ugly aspects of your garden. Something like a waterproof rug can become a football point of the space.
Outdoor Storage
A garden can instantly become a cluttered space, and much like in the interiors, we need to get savvy with our storage. The garden is a space for many items that you do not store in the home, such as washing lines, and toys. Waterproof outdoor storage is a great way to chuck everything out of sight, making the garden ready for the summer months. It covers a multitude of sins and will make you have more pride in your garden space.
A garden isn’t just somewhere out to plant all those beautiful flowers, but it can be a logical extension of your current property. When we want to reinvigorate our garden, it’s about making it stylistically closer to what we already have.
