Hello World! Welcome Friends! Essential oils – when you hear this, what do you think of? Most people would think we’re either talking ingredients for something (perfume, candle, soap). Some would think of the human body, but the focus tends to be on the skin and hair. The fact is that the oils from various plants and herbs can be processed by your body to bring a big number of health improvements. Minor ailments and mental health can be treated, mood and energy levels can be raised, you can even lower stress and improve your sleep through the use of natural oils.
There are a variety of ways to use these as well, from adding them to your bath or having them on an oil burner to the topical application or a diffuser to keep oil particles in the air. Not only can this give your home a beautiful scent, but it’s good for you too. The body is able to absorb the nutrients from these oils through contact alone, and since you can’t consume the oils, it’s the best way to benefit from them. Lavender
Lavender is one of the most popular and well-known scents in the world of scented products. Candles, perfume and air fresheners can all be found with heavy lavender influences. It’s also considered one of the most versatile herbal treatments in the world as it can have an impact on anything from skin disorders and wounds to depression and anxiety. This oil can be used via a diffuser or topically and can also be added to a bath depending on your needs. It adds a wonderful smell to your home as well and even helps to keep moths away!
Peppermint
Peppermint is a lot stronger smelling than lavender, being a louder scent. You might already know the benefits of peppermint taken for stomach issues and indigestion, but it can also be used topically to relieve pain and cramping. It’s also a good decongestant and makes a wonderful winter scent for this reason, while the use of diffused peppermint can clear your airways and help with any breathing issues.
Cinnamon
A sweet, spicy scent which is usually associated with extravagance, cinnamon has been a popular scent for centuries – partly because of its exclusivity. There was a time when cinnamon was only available to the wealthy, which is no longer true. It’s a great oil for dealing with congestion or other breathing issues, whilst also working well as a relaxant, stress reliever, an anti-inflammatory and a painkiller. It’s also an antibacterial and antiseptic substance.
Tea Tree
Tea tree doesn’t have as many general applications as some of the other picks, but it’s great for dealing with health issues. This oil can be used to treat a wide range of disorders including skin problems, bites, warts, and fungal problems. Tea tree oil can be used in strong concentrations as an insect repellant and as a disinfectant as well. There are all sorts of recipes available to create your own anti-dandruff shampoos, flea repellants, kitchen cleaners and even disinfectants for open wounds.

I work from home and I can tell you this from experience, having a good scent around you while you work can make a lot of difference. It keeps you upbeat. Although, I have noticed that after a point of time you become immune to certain fragrances, so it important to switch them from time to time.

Hi, good article. I’d just add that tea tree oil, actually, does have many applications.
Note: I’m talking about diluted version of tea tree oil. Even though tea tree oil is one of the very few oils you can apply directly onto your skin, without diluting your skin would go crazy.
Curing a cut: apply a bit of tea tree oil directly onto the cut. Tea tree oil is an antibacterial agent and anti-inflammatory as well so. It immediately starts to heal that wound and it’s also antiseptic
You can use tea tree oil as an emergency deodorant (you know, when you forgot to buy deodorant and no one in the house is any deodorant you can borrow). Take a little bit of tea tree oil a little bit of baking powder and just rub that onto your armpit and then just wipe the excess away.
Tea tree oils is going to help clear your blocked nose, help clear any congestion and – for fighting acne.
Tea tree seems to be like a miracle ingredient when it comes to spots and acne

Hi VLAD
I also read that the diluted tea tree oil is very effective on face in treating acne. What can you say about this?

This is what i call paradise.
when i had a minor accident which made me sit back at home for a while, i understood and appreciated why people redecorate their homes. A friend of mine introduced me to cinnamon because of the congestion i sufferedin the winter.
All in all, this is a nice post, thank so much for adding to my list
