Hello World! Welcome Friends! Fixing a toy, repairing something that broke, it is all part of what makes being a dad so special. And while some dads are handy when it comes to building or fixing things, not every dad knows how to use tools. For those dads who are looking to better their toolbox, so they can be better equipped for the future, we’re going to highlight some of the most important tools that every dad needs.
1. Pliers
When you’re using pliers, all you have to do is grip and pull. There are three types of pliers that every dad should have. There are slip-joint pliers which can open wide enough to grip a big pipe and then collapse smaller to hold something only an inch across. Also, the other ones are lineman’s pliers, also called side-cutting pliers, that cut the wire and strip the insulation off wires with its diagonal cutting jaws. And finally, there are needle nose pliers which offer tenacious gripping power — great for turning small screws or removing fuses.
2. A Professional Chainsaw
This can be used to cut up firewood or trim branches, depending on what features it has. There are three types of professional chainsaws that dads should consider owning. The first type of professional chainsaw is gas-powered and may require mixing fuel and oil but gives more power for tougher jobs like cutting down trees. The second type is an electric saw, which is easier to use if you only need to cut small pieces of wood; it is also cheaper than the other options. And finally, there are telescoping pole chainsaws with saws at both ends that can extend up to sixteen feet long, making hard-to-reach jobs much easier. Chainsaws are loud, powerful, and have many benefits- perfect for dads!
3. A Good Drill
Next is a good cordless drill. Cordless drills are great because they can be used anywhere, so you won’t have to worry about finding an outlet. It’s important to use the right drill for the job at hand, so be sure to know what type of material you’re working with before you start drilling. Drills come in all shapes and sizes, especially cordless ones. Some drills are small, while others are larger for professionals. Many come with features that make them easier to use like screwdriver bits, adjustable speed settings, or keyless chucks.
4. A Reliable Hammer
Another important tool is a hammer. A hammer is great for building or repairing things around the house. There are many types of hammers, each good for different uses. Claw hammers have two sharp claws on their head which are great for removing nails, pulling out old flooring, and other jobs that require tearing something apart. Then there’s the ball-peen hammer, which has one flat end and one round end with an indentation between them; this type of hammer is used to flatten metal sheets before they’re formed into something new, like a fender or handlebars.
5. A Tape Measure
The next tool that every dad should have is a tape measure because it will come in handy for just about anything. Tape measures can be used to figure out if the furniture will fit in a room, how long the wood needs to be cut, and even as a straight edge on projects like laying tile. These come in many lengths and colors and also fold up, so they’re easy to carry around with you on the go.
6. A High-Quality Toolbox
Every dad needs a good, solid toolbox to keep all their tools in one place. Toolboxes come in all different shapes, sizes, and materials; there are even toolboxes that can mount under your table or across the back of your truck. Toolboxes need to be sturdy with good solid lids that close securely, otherwise, every time you open it up something else will fall out.
Why Does Every Dad Need Some Good Tools in their Garage?
Every dad needs to have tools in their garage or toolbox so they can do projects around the house when needed. Picking up a few good basic tools will help dads be ready for any project that comes along without having to take a trip to the hardware store. And if they want to start working on bigger projects like building furniture or fixing up their car, then it might be a good idea to pick up some more advanced tools as well. If your dad’s birthday is coming up, and you want to surprise him, gift him some tools and some garage essentials.
There are many types of tools that every dad should have in their garage. Whether it be using a drill to put together furniture, peeling the wallpaper off the wall, or fixing things with a hammer, your dad can have whatever he needs on hand for any project. These are just a few examples of tools that dads should have in their garage.
