Hello World! I hope all are well this fine day. Today, I have a guest post from this wonderful company that helps all of my friends across the pond get some wonderful ideas for their bathrooms.
The bathroom is the one room in your house that every member of the family, and even your visitors, are bound to visit at least once a day. It is usually a place where you can relax and de-stress at the end of a busy day or hard working week. In order to be a calm, peaceful environment, it should be decorated in a style you love. One way to do this is by using colours, particularly your favourite ones, to put you in a good mood and reflect your personality to your guests.
There are a number of different ways that you can add colour to your bathroom, from full on brightly coloured walls to accents of colour dotted around the room. It is entirely up to you how you want your bathroom to look and feel, but here are some tips on how to make the best out of yours.
If your bathroom is fairly large and spacious, you can get away with using more colour and bolder hues. If the bathroom is small, bolder colours or large areas in a solid colour can make it appear even smaller and more cramped. For that large bathroom, try using a statement colour on your walls, but keep all your appliances in a plain single colour, such as a stylish Vitra suite. The white fixtures will contrast the bright colours, being easy on the eye but very stylish.
If your bathroom is a little on the smaller side, use one wall as the statement wall. Cover this in a patterned wallpaper, a single brightly coloured paint, or even mosaic tiles. Keep the rest of the walls in a single shade to draw the eye towards the statement piece.
Monochrome is very fashionable at the moment, particularly in bathrooms. The contrasting black and white have a minimalistic and very stylish feeling that makes the room look much more expensive. Many of these type of rooms can hide personality though, so to brighten them up a little, try installing some colourful accessories: anything from a colourful or patterned shower curtain to brightly hued towels will do. Just make sure that the accessories are all in complementary colours to avoid your once stylish bathroom looking overly cluttered.
So pick your favourite colours and have fun! If you’re having problems getting colours and shades to match, use a colour wheel or pop into your local home ware or DIY store for some personal advice. Just remember not to go over the top with multiple colours and patterns, and use mirrors and lighting to open up your space even more.
Such good information! I have a small bath that I need to paint and decorate so I’m taking this one to heart! Thank you for popping in for a visit and remember to be kind to one another! Fear Not!
Toodles,
Kathryn

I love using color in the bathroom. We just recently went bold and painted ours a dark teal to play off the gray and white tiles.
