Hello World! Welcome Friends! We’ve all been to housewarming parties that haven’t quite lived up to expectation. Whether it’s the music, the people or the lack of organization you can learn from other’s mistakes and ensure that you throw a party to remember. So invite your family and friends and gather around your brand new house for an epic housewarming party that will sure to be the talk of the town for months to come.
Come up with a Theme
Every party needs a theme, and this should reflect the vibe you want to give off. If you want everyone to dress their best and you want glamour and sophistication, then why not choose a 1920s jazz age or Great Gatsby theme? The girls can come dressed in their finest cocktail dresses, and the boys can come in tuxedos. Meanwhile, your living room can be lit with candles or dimmed lights. You could even run a cocktail making class.
Don’t be like these parents in the U.K who threw a party for their child and then asked other parents to pay to attend. Be sure to splash the cash a little bit.
If you want a more lighthearted evening then why not get everyone to come dressed in a 90s theme? Another idea is for guests to come dressed as their favorite Disney characters. You could even suggest that if everyone is not too tipsy at the end of the night you could watch a Disney film.
Get a Good Playlist
No party is complete without a good playlist, and the playlist and the theme should be in sync. You are going to need a subscription to a streaming service such as Spotify Premium or Apple Music to ensure the entertainment is not interrupted by adverts. It also has to be up-lifting. You cannot have a playlist with lots of sad songs. You want something that is going to keep everyone cheerful and engaged until the early hours of the morning. If choosing the right tunes is not your forte, be sure to find a friend or family member who knows their music.
Send a Thank You Card to Everyone Who Came
It’s the small touches like sending a thank you card to everyone that came that make your party memorable. People will really appreciate them. Be sure to handwrite them and offer a personal message. Perhaps the cards could be themed to match the theme of the party. Be sure to include the names of people’s partners on the cards as well to ensure you are not missing anyone out.
You never know, if you have put in this much effort you will hopefully get invited to every new house party for years to come.
A Housewarming Party Can Be the Talk of the Town
If you have recently arrived in town and are keen to impress, a housewarming party can be the perfect way to cement your reputation as a true social bunny. Throwing the perfect house party can seem daunting, but if you plan it weeks in advance and make sure it’s a fun evening for everyone, then nothing can go wrong. Ensure the playlist fits the mood of the party, that it has a great theme, and that there is plenty of food and drink to go around and everyone will be talking about you for years to come.
