Hello World! Welcome Friends! Organization is nothing new, however, thanks to shows on Netflix, celebs Instagramming photos of how they organize their homes and vloggers teaching us the best ways to organize our homes, it has become something of a trend. While there’s loads of information out there for you, with so much of it, it can be a little overwhelming, and you don’t always know who to listen to. So, why not simplify the whole thing and just follow these tips to get your home organized the way you want it once and for all. This method will work for every room in your house, so start with one and see how you get on and then move to the next.

Take Everything Out of the Room
If you’re going to do this, then you’ll need to do it properly. While taking everything out of the room might sound crazy, things sometimes have to get worse before they can get better, and this is one of those occasions. When it comes to organizing, it helps if you start with a blank slate, so clear out the whole space so that you can see what you have, assess your storage needs, and really make the most of the space.
Get Rid
Now, this is one of the hardest parts of organizing, but it can also make you feel great. You will need to be ruthless, and basically, the rule is, if you haven’t used it recently, throw it away or donate it. If it’s broken, you don’t need it anymore, it’s stained or worn out, get rid of it. If for whatever reason you really can’t part with some items, then consider small storage units while you work out what you will do with everything.
Put Similar Items Together
Once you’ve had a big clear out, have a look at what you’re left with and then separate your items into groups, then once everything is divided out, it makes it easier to see what kind of organization system you will want to create.
Start Storing
Don’t go out and buy a load of storage boxes just yet; start with what you already have in your home. Think outside the ‘storage’ box and use things like shoe boxes which you can wrap in pretty paper or decorate other boxes, bins or baskets you have to make them look more appealing while still serving a very useful purpose.
Label
Label everything! This is going to make life much easier for you, and you will always know what is where. There are loads of different ways to label, and you can do it as simply or as creatively as you like. From getting a marker pen and sticky label to using a silhouette machine to cut adhesive vinyl labels or a label maker, you can have plenty of fun with this.
Put everything back
Once you have everything separated, categorized and labelled, then you finally start to put things back. Start with the items that you use most often and put them in a place where you can easily access them and remember where they are. After that, you can fill in the gaps with everything else.
