Hello World! Welcome Friends! We can probably all agree that the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic have changed our priorities a bit this Spring. But, as the world slowly starts to “re-open” and return to some sense of normalcy, there are plenty of things to look forward to – including spending time outside this summer!
I’ve talked before about great landscaping ideas for your yard, but what else can you do to spruce up your home’s exterior? On average, Brits spend about 90% of their time indoors and in the U.S., people spend 93% of the time inside! Having an outdoor space you love can draw you to get outside more often.
With that in mind, let’s look at a few easy ways you can make your home exterior look great for entertaining, cooking out with the family, or just relaxing in your yard.
Put On Some Pressure
Pressure washing is a great way to bring so many aspects of your home exterior back to life. From pressure washing your deck to your siding, and even your front steps, it can quickly make your house look like new – plus, it’s fun to do!
If you have a screened-in porch with concrete flooring, you might also want to take this time to consider concrete polishing to make things shine – no more having to cover everything up with rugs!
Add a Pop of Color
You might be surprised what a simple accent color can do for the overall look of your home’s exterior. While a brand new exterior paint job might not be in your budget this year, you can change the look of your house by painting your front door.
Don’t be afraid to get creative and colorful when you paint your door, especially if you have a neutral-colored home. You can really add a lot of personality to the exterior in just a few hours of work. Plus, you can match your landscaping with the door by planting flowers of similar colors.
Make a Porch Light Upgrade
Again, don’t ignore your screened-in porch, or even an open front porch! A few simple upgrades can make a big difference, including switching out your porch light. Try something with a vintage vibe if you have a brick home or something with a more modern flare that’s inviting for outdoor entertaining.
Add a Wreath to Reflect the Season
If you’re reading this blog, you might already have a love of gardening or landscaping, but even if you don’t have a green thumb you can add a touch of floral fun to your front door. Hanging a seasonal wreath is a great way to spruce up your home exterior without a lot of time or effort. Plus, you can easily change it out as often as you’d like.
As you can see, making upgrades to your home exterior doesn’t have to take a lot of time or cost a lot of money. If you want to spend more time outside this summer enjoying your own backyard, try some of these easy solutions, and enjoy the outdoors again!
