Hello World! Welcome Friends! Sport is essential to feel good inside and out. In addition to the results you want to achieve, you must also take into account the state of your training, the physical conditions in which you are, and your age.
Choosing an ideal sport for yourself is not always easy. There are a myriad of sports to choose from. Tennis, volleyball, soccer, football, Colorado Lightning basketball, and baseball are just some of the sports you can choose for physical conditioning and enjoyment.
We prepared a guide for you to read and learn how to pick the right activity for yourself.
What to Consider When Choosing
Remember that physical activity is a pleasure, not a duty. You can choose an individual sport or a group course based on the goal you want to achieve. It’s important to find activities that will help you lose fat and build muscle so you can reach your personal goals. Finding the right sport for you can be a fun process and should not be stressful.
No matter which sport you choose, it is important to reap the maximum benefits, keeping in mind some simple warnings based on your characteristics and needs. If you are leaning towards more sophisticated sports, then you can consider choosing golf clubs or billiards, and if you prefer more physical activities, then basketball or the like may be ideal for you.
Remember that there are three factors to consider when choosing the right sport for you: age, physical conditions, and the kind of effort required by the sport. For example, sports that require a short but intense effort are suitable for those who need to strengthen muscles.
Is It Right to Choose a Sport According to Age?
There are sports more or less suitable for different ages, at least after thirty years.
By that age, we have the maximum exertion capacity and resistance of the cardiovascular system. So, you can do any sport, unless of course there are no special health problems that may impose a burden on your physical activity. Sports like weightlifting in adolescence are best avoided as they can damage the articular structures of the body that are still growing.
Starting from the age of 40, it is good to gradually shift the focus to mostly typical aerobic activities, bearing in mind that what counts a lot, more than just the effort, is the regularity of cultivating sports passion.
If you are 50-60 years old, it is advisable to avoid exercises that overload the spine, while maintaining a level of effort sufficient to stimulate the functionality of the cardio-respiratory system, muscle tone, and good preservation of bone density. At this age, it can also be helpful to play sports where skill is paramount (such as fencing, archery, diving, and rhythmic gymnastics). That way you would prevent the deterioration of coordination skills and wouldn’t have to worry about injuries.
Of course, if you are playing these sports for the first time, you must be prepared not to get frustrated if you do not achieve championship performance. When picking a sport for you, age is more than a number; it is also a deciding element when it comes to picking a suitable discipline, as it is more likely to be on the verge of suffering permanent damage as a result of the physical activity engaged in, for failing to recognize that your age may not allow you participating in certain sports.
Sports That Make You Lose Weight
In aerobic sports, you burn fat while in anaerobic, you consume more sugar; therefore, the first ones are preferred when weight control is directed.
Furthermore, for the same calories consumed, anaerobic sports cause a more intense feeling of hunger, which can lead to overeating, nullifying the benefits gained.
Among the sports that make you lose weight are:
- cross-country skiing
- march
- cycling
- walking
- swimming.
Other Factors to Consider: Time and Diet
Time
Often the biggest obstacle in playing a sport, more than laziness, is time. But even if we don’t have a lot of it, it’s possible to engage in physical activity that allows us to gain an advantage.
The first rule is to walk long distances (equal to half an hour a day), while you go to work and you can give up the elevator to climb the stairs on foot. This is a great habit to keep fit and maximize the time available to exercise.
Secondly, you can do a little gymnastics at home, which allows you to take advantage of unplanned free time. However, there is a risk that you will not be regular and persistent.
So, it would be best to get an exercise manual, or head to the gym, under the guidance of an instructor, to learn the right exercises and avoid basic mistakes.
By the way, the obligation to pay a subscription and the pleasure of hanging out with people who go to the gym will motivate you even more.
Food
For better sports performance, it is very important not only to eat in the right way but also at the right time, thus, pay special attention to the quality of food you take.
Whatever sport you choose, remember to enjoy yourself while remaining in shape! Sport is a fantastic method to improve your physical and mental health, so commit to it.
