Hello World! Welcome Friends! Packing up the house is my life right now! I’m so ready to be in the new house! I’m excited to show you all of the plans for our new abode. But, today is about the second house we toured on our house search. If you missed House One, there will be a picture and a link so you can check that one out!
We’ll call this one Kendall Ridge.
The Kendall Ridge house is a two story house with 3521 square feet.
Lovely brick porch.
Massive tiled entry with curved staircase.
Two story Family Room.
Looking back towards the kitchen and breakfast room. You can get a peek of the powder room as well as the dining room.
The kitchen is a little small for this size house, but there is a butler’s pantry that you can see through the doorway.
Looking though the kitchen to the butler’s pantry.
Gas cooktop.
Looking back to the breakfast room and the door heading to the back patio and backyard.
There are a ton of windows in this house!
The dining room is at the front of the house just off of the entryway.
On the other side of the entry is the study with lovely windows.
The Master Bedroom is located on the back side of the house on the other side of the family room.
The other side of the master bedroom.
The master bathroom.
The master bedroom closet.
Bedroom #2.
A jack and jill bathroom located upstairs.
Bedroom #3.
Bedroom #4.
The other side of bedroom #4.
Bathroom #3
Gameroom upstairs.
Other side of the game room. I like that the game room is not open to the downstairs. Great for sound control.
Butler’s pantry as well as the pantry on the right. The dining room is straight ahead.
Two car garage.
Covered patio.
Decent size backyard.
Here’s the rundown on Kendall Ridge:
4 beds
3 1/2 baths
3521 sq. feet
2 car garage
Lot size: 10,271 sq. feet
I would love to hear your thoughts on the Kendall Ridge house.

This house is amazing – that curved staircase and all the windows with natural lighting – wow – not to mentioin all the upgrades. I need to go back and read the one you chose – but looking at this it couldn’t have been an easy decision! I really love the bones – I don’t think the kitchen is small at all factoring the butler’s pantry – how wonderful to have that. What I am surprised to find is only a 2 car garage and not a 3rd one, with so many bedrooms and a home that size. ANYway…..thanks for the beautiful house tour!
I am so excited for you – oh to have a fresh new space to decorate – worth moving, kinda. Best of luck with the packing – don’t over-do it – and be sure to schedule a few therapeutic massages, you will need it!

Thank you, Michele! All of the houses we toured were equally nice. We did have a hard time deciding, but in the end, we are super excited about getting into the new house.
Marty@A Stroll Thru Life says
They’re both amazing, but I really like House #1 better.

Thank you, Marty! I’ve been watching your kitchen remodel…it is going to be gorgeous! I know you will be excited to get it all finished!

I’m equally as curious, Lauren! House #3 will be on the blog on Thursday! Happy Sunday!

This home offers a great feeling of volume! It’s amazing too. You’d never feel boxed in this home!

Thanks so much, Liz! It was a lovely home to tour! The natural light was amazing!

Both of the homes you toured and shared so far have great features, Kathryn. Agh! I can’t believe you’re moving, after all that work you’ve put into the Colonial! I am agonizing over a couple projects I’m about to tackle this year, and then I see your post! I guess it’s just in one’s nature to really embrace change or not, and I’m finding if I’m honest with myself, I’m not as embracing as I once thought I was!
thededicatedhouse@gmail.com says
Thanks, Rita! It was a surprise really! There were 4 houses that became available in our price range in the neighborhood we had been eyeing for years; so we had to jump on it. I’ve never finished up projects so fast in the Colonial!! LOL Thanks for stopping by!

All I can think about when I see that beautiful interior with its tile floor is “echooo, echooo, echooo”.
thededicatedhouse@gmail.com says
I know, right? It was pretty loud when we toured it! Thanks for stopping by!
Ann says
Both houses are beautiful, but so far, house #1 is my favorite. I like the wood floors – as opposed to tile, they are warmer. Also, the ceilings are lower, make it feel more ‘cozy’!
thededicatedhouse@gmail.com says
Thank you so much Ann for touring the houses! It’s been so much fun house hunting! House #3 is live if you want to check it out! https://www.thededicatedhouse.com/2017/01/house-number-three.html Have a lovely evening!
Diane says
Both houses are lovely, but right now, I’m leaning towards this house. It feels more peaceful. Funny way to look at it, maybe. 😉
Somewhere along the way, I missed that you would be moving. Can you point me to that post? Your new theme is lovely, but the navigation to find anything chronologically is a mystery. It just reminds me that as I consider a theme change there are so many details to consider. (This blogging biz keeps us on our toes!!) That being said, have you found that the theme change has given you a boost in people staying to see more?
All the best sweet friend and best wishes for a smooth transition to your new home. {{hugs}}

Thanks so much Diane! All of the houses were so much fun to tour! I didn’t really do a post about moving, because it happened so fast. There were 4 houses that became available in our price range in the neighborhood we had been eyeing for a couple of years; so we needed to jump on it pretty quick. I think this post was the first mention of moving: https://www.thededicatedhouse.com/2017/01/favorites-highlights-2016-top-posts.html
The archives are listed at the bottom of the blog page, just above the footer. I have noticed that with the new theme, visitors have a tendency to poke around the blog a little longer. Thank you again for stopping by! Have a lovely evening!
