In my research I’ve learned about Homeserve which is a company that specializes in this sort of thing. I was just curious as to what my readers have done when emergencies have popped up and if they already had a supplemental insurance policy already in place to help handle the emergencies.
Let me know your knowledge and expertise please. I would love to hear what you have got to say on this matter.
Thanks for dropping in for a visit. Have a great evening and remember to be kind to one another! Fear Not!

we don't have any supplemental insurance, but we do have savings just for emergencies. We also have some trustworthy people that we can call. It's good to ask your friends in the area if they reccomend someone, and have their name on a list in case you need their services. We found ours through friends referrls and through a friend who is a realtor. It's always a good idea to be prepared. hope this helps

We do not have supplemental insurance. We have a one year home warranty, as we just bought our home. I guess I just rely on family. My Dad has done almost everything DIY – including an entire basement bathroom. Anything electrical, my fiance was an electrician for the Navy. My mom, my fiance, and myself are all engineers. My sister is a drywall queen, and my brother in law used to have a construction/remodeling business. If one of us can't figure it out, it's probably time to call the experts anyways! Although… I may have to start some research on supplemental insurance, since I get paranoid that terrible things could happen.

We bought an existing home and purchased a home warranty plan. We pay the premium every year; and any time an emergency of that sort comes up, we only pay a minimal fee of about $75. Over the years, they have repaired our a/c, washer/dryer, refrigerator, oven, etc. It has been invaluable!
