Green Pest Control Vs. Traditional Treatments

Pest management chemicals – the original type, not the green type – are not necessarily harmful to people and pets. However, it can be hard for homeowners to know what green means as opposed to conventional chemicals. When chemicals are applied, it doesn’t automatically make it a non-green application. Green chemicals are different because they are usually applied for just one type of pest, instead of many. For example, green chemicals may only affect mosquitoes, instead of mosquitoes and stinging insects.

Everyone’s definition of green varies, too. Green pest control may mean that no chemicals are used. Or, it may mean that natural predators, like beneficial insects, are used to keep certain other insects at bay. Sometimes, if pests can be trapped, that method is used instead.
