Hello World! Welcome Friends! Planning a party is exciting, but it can also be a bit daunting. You need to know where you’re going to seat all of your guests, you need to be prepared to share a meal with your guests, and you need to be ready with plenty of things to keep people entertained. If you’re planning a party, you should think about these things ahead of time so that you have plenty of time to get the supplies you need, enlist the help of other people, and plan all of the finishing touches. These are some of the most important things you need to ensure your party goes off without a hitch.
Move the Extra Furniture
If you’re planning a large party and aren’t sure if you have enough space, evaluate whether you need to rearrange furniture for more space or swap it out for better seating. Usually, this involves taking out furniture that’s bulky but comfortable and switching it out for smaller chairs so that there are more places for people to sit.
Partition Off the House
Especially if you have a larger party where you can’t keep an eye on everyone, you need to make sure that you know which bathroom you want people to use and which areas of the house you would rather not have people entering. If your party is smaller, you might feel comfortable simply closing doors and leaving the one bathroom door open. If your party is more than close friends and family, you might want to find a way to lock bedrooms and other places where valuables are kept. Otherwise, you should hold your party in a downstairs area away from rooms you would rather not have people in.
Get the Bathroom Ready
If you’ve ever been a guest in someone’s house and used the bathroom only to realize that there’s no toilet paper, you know how awkward it can be. Whether planning a gender reveal or a retirement party, be nice to your guests by ensuring the guest bathroom is clean and stocked. This includes having extra rolls of toilet paper in plain sight, having plenty of soap available, and maybe even some paper towel and a larger trash bin if you’re going to have a larger party.
Clean Everywhere
Make sure that you do an extra special cleaning before the party. Not only will this step make everything nicer for your guests, but it will also make cleaning up after the party that much easier. For instance, you might decide to get rid of clutter, such as extra magazines and newspapers that you have in a stack on the living room coffee table.
Decorate
One of the best ways to ensure that you get the vibe that you’re looking for is to put some time into decorating. You can put up streamers for a birthday party or put up tinsel for a holiday party. Also, think about the outdoor decorations that you want to use. If you want to ensure that everyone easily knows where your house is located from the street, put up a sign, or get some rain-resistant decorations to let people know that this is where the party’s located.
Set Up the Drink Bar
Decide if you want to set up a bar with liquor and have some act as a bartender. If this seems like too much of a hassle, you can also simply have a small fridge in a central location that’s filled with canned items, or you can even simply have a cooler filled with ice.
When you’re getting ready for a party, a little bit of planning will go a long way, and you’re going to be happy that you took the time when you see how smoothly the party goes and how much your guests enjoy it. If you’re unsure of what you want to focus on for your planning efforts, make a list so that you can do chores throughout the week.
