Hello World! Welcome Friends! Summer is approaching and it is something a lot of people are looking forward to. Being able to sit in the garden, soak in the sun while having a relax with a cocktail and a good book. Perfect while accompanied by your other half cooking a delicious dinner on the BBQ and the children are playing happily. It will be pure bliss. Over the winter and colder months, our gardens tend to lose the love and focus we give them in the summer. Weeds appear, the grass starts to become overgrown and things sometimes just get a bit out of control. Now is a better time than any to start getting things prepared so you can enjoy more of the summer fun.
Firstly you will need to make sure you have everything you need to transform your garden, there are different tools you will need like a rake, spade, and a garden hose for starters. Getting rid of all the weeds and dead flowers will help give you a clear space to work with. It can take a bit of elbow grease so try and get some other family members involved to help you get it done a lot quicker. Also, remember to wear gardening gloves, there can be stinging nettles, thorns, and all sorts you don’t want to hurt yourself. You can also hire some help to make things easier too like a certified lawn specialist.
Once you have a blank slate you can start to plan how you want to start working on how you want it to look when it is finished. As the children grow up as well they may need new garden toys as they can outgrow what they have, do you need to get a new pool. There is so much to think about so making a list is a great idea and helps you be a lot more organized.
Another great thing you can do ahead of time starts planting some seedlings indoors to help them grow and give a boost for when they are then put outside to continue to grow and flourish. Growing your fruits and vegetables is a great thing to implement into your garden as well, it can cut down some of your grocery bills and it is really rewarding to be putting ingredients into your dinner and food that you have grown with your own two hands. Some of the easier ones to start with are herbs, strawberries, and potatoes. There are so many tips and tricks online to help you get started. They all have different times when it is best to plant as well so make sure you read the back of the packet.
By getting prepared beforehand it means that you will have more time in the sun to enjoy the garden and just tend to it rather than having to do harder work and missing all that relaxing time you have planned. It will be worth it when you can have friends and family over for a garden party and enjoy all your hard work.
