Hello World! Welcome Friends! Whether we are ready or not, Fall is officially here! Soon we will start preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas! This is by far my favorite time of year! I seem to be more content and I sing a whole lot more. Probably because when October hits, I turn on Christmas music. LOL. I know, it’s too soon for some, but for me it puts me in the right frame of mind!
For now, it’s all about Fall and today is my turn on the Fall in Love with Texas tour!
Welcome to my fancy breakfast nook decked out for Fall.
Since I overdecorate for Christmas…no lie, I try to keep my Fall decor somewhat paired down. For my faithful readers, remember my 14 ft. Christmas tree that I had at our first house and lugged it to our second house never to use it because my ceilings were too low? Well, that sucker is definitely coming out in this house!! Okay, but for now, Fall decor!
I’m proud to say I did not buy one new thing in the way of decor. I used what I had on hand. But, I did buy one thing that doesn’t qualify as decor. More on that later.
I still love my stenciled wall. In case you missed the wall transformation it was for the last One Room Challenge that I participated in. You can check it out HERE.
I still get questions about where I got everything for the breakfast nook, so I’ll provide a source list below.
The china was a gift from a friend who need to thin out his collection for his move to Atlanta.
The china is Bamboo from Nortika as well as the glassware. Do you see my purchase? I bought a set of the Luna Brushed Gold flatware from Pottery Barn. I think they are having a sale right now, so you might want to snag a set before the holidays. Look for it in the resources below.
The flatware is so pretty and weighty and compliments the gold rim on the Nortika china.
The table centerpiece I bought a couple of years ago at Hobby Lobby on the cheap as well as the acorns, “blessings” pears and Fall decor.
I picked up the bright green pears from Home Goods last year and the black and white pumpkin from Hobby Lobby.
Here is a look at the gold detailing on the china. It’s so pretty in person.
The green vase was one I got from my Mom when she was downsizing for her move. I just love its fun shape. I believe the owl salt and pepper shakers are from Home Goods several years ago.
The mantel has been cleaned off and holds just a few of my blue and white pieces.
Isn’t that a glorious mess? I love the tousled look of the centerpiece. Just like Fall. Shaking everything loose.
And, before I go, here are our furry house guests. These are two of the four fur babies that are living with us along with their Mom & Dad (Adriana & Jake) while their house is being renovated after being flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Such sweet babies! You can read about our Hurricane Harvey experience HERE.
I hope you enjoyed Fall in my Fancy Breakfast Nook.

Kathryn, your dining room is so cheerful! I love the colorful wall and the way you brought in those bright colors in other accessories. The new dishes are perfect for your room. Just gorgeous! I’m crushing over your large gold framed mirror. It is the perfect statement piece.
Thanks for the tour and happy fall.
I switched from Monday to Wednesday, so do you mind going in and changing the link to Wednesday? Thanks!
Thanks so much, Sarah! I will definitely get the link changed! Happy Fall!
Your sweet furry houseguests made my heart happy. The fall touches are so warm, cozy and welcoming.
Kathryn, your breakfast nook is fabulous…I loved it the first time I saw it! You have dressed it in beautiful autumn finery. The Noritake china is stunning…I am not familiar with that pattern! Thank you for the tour!
Thank you so much, Pam! The Nortika china was a gift from a collector friend of mine who needed to purge his china collection. It’s one of their older patterns. The set I have is incomplete. I still need salad plates and bread plates. Hopefully I will be able to find some on Ebay or Replacements. Thanks for popping in!
Kathryn,
Every time I see your beautiful hand stenciled wall with the blue birds, I am once again amazed at the extraordinary job you did. Your entire house is elegant in every season. Happy Fall.
Judith
Love your decor, the fall colors are beautiful!!
I would love to have you stop by and share on OMHG Wednesday Party
Hope you have a wonderful week!
Good Evening Kathryn, Firstly I must say your ‘Fur baby visitors’ are absolutely lovely. I love that they are so happy to share their bed with each other.
I am not surprised that you have so many questions about your breakfast area, as you have put it together beautifully. I love the stenciling and I remember when I first saw it, I thought it was wall paper as you had stenciled it so beautifully.
Here in England we tend not to dress our houses for Autumn. I do change cushions and curtains. Instead of light and airy colours of summer, I tend towards darker tones for the Autumn.
I smiled when you wrote that you play Christmas music so early….. I am the same, I love Christmas and there is nothing like a little Christmas music to put me in the mood.
I am so pleased to hear your friends are having their home renovated…. they have been through so much and as I mentioned before, it is so lovely that they have a friend in you and your family.
Have a wonderful day.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Oh dear Kathryn, I so love your breakfast room and that stencil wall is exquisite, what a great addition to this area of your lovely home; it sure is a marvelous focal point, I’m sure.
The vignette in the buffet is lovely and that black and white pumpkin sure pops up between all your Fall décor pieces and color.
The tablescape is gorgeous with the great centerpiece. I love your gold flatware, always wanted a set, but they are extremely expensive here. Maybe someday I will bring it from Florida or NYC, I will be going there this December.
The gold flatware is gorgeous in person and has such a nice weight to it. Definitely not flimsy. Check out Pottery Barn’s flatware when you are here in December. Have a happy week ahead!
Thank you, Jann! Have a lovely week!
