Hello World! Welcome Friends! I’m incredibly excited to be participating in the One Room Challenge again this year! A big thank you must go out to Linda at Calling it Home for organizing this Challenge and encouraging us to tackle one space in our house.
This past Spring I transformed our breakfast nook. You can check out that transformation HERE. Here is what it looks like currently for the Fall Tour I just participated in.
This time around the kitchen is going to get a makeover, but a makeover on a budget! Below is the kitchen when we moved in 8 months ago.
As my readers know, we’ve already changed the wall paint to lighten up the space.
The Plan
This transformation will be about painting the cabinets and hardware and organizing the interiors of the cabinets, drawers, pantry and refrigerator. All of the appliances are in good condition so there is no need to change them at this time. We would love to change the granite, flooring and backsplash, but this makeover is on a budget. So, those projects will have to wait.
Here’s the look I’m going for minus new countertops and backsplash.
For lighting above the sink, I like this pretty chandy below.
This makeover is about the interiors as well. Below are some ideas for pretty organization.

I’m excited to tackle another space in our new house, and I hope you will follow along for the adventure!
I’d love for you to join my email list! You’ll receive a notification straight to your inbox once a week on Monday which will include links to party posts and my home project posts! Simply enter your address below.

Oh man, if my pantry looked like that I’d be so happy. Let’s just say that currently it does NOT look like that. 🙂 Good luck with this one- the inspiration is beautiful! I’ll be excited to see how it turns out!

Thanks so much, Laura! My pantry is not too bad, but it is nowhere near the inspiration pic! Mama’s got some work to do! Thanks for stopping by. Headed your way!

I love your inspiration photos! There’s no way I could keep my pantry or refrigerator as organized as the inspiration, but it’s fun to dream! (Maybe there’ll be a chance when the kids grow up & move out?) 😀

What a great plan for your kitchen dear Kathryn! I love all you want to do, specially the counters and back splash for your kitchen. In my old kitchen I had black marble counter tops but never again, so when we remodeled our kitchen I went for white granite very much as your idea and I love it so much better !
Your spice cabinet is perfect, I also have that and it’s so comfy to reach when cooking. I can’t wait to see your finished work !
Your home is becoming magazine beautiful dear friend.
Have a great week.

Beautiful plan Kathryn! I anxiously await the upcoming changes. Your ideas for pantry, refrigerator and under the sink organization are FABULOUS! My areas of organization in my kitchen are begging for a remake, especially my “under the sink” area, It is one huge dark cavern! I might take that area on along with you. Be Blessed

Thank you so much! It is already looking so different with the areas that have been painted. In this week’s post I will go into detail about the organization of the under the sink area. I have a system in place, but it just wasn’t working. I’ve had to really adjust my thinking and try another solution. Fall does equal letting go. LOL. Glad you are following along.
