Hi Friends! How is everyone doing these days? This Summer I’m working on decluttering and organizing our home as well as tackling some home decor projects. So far, I’ve organized the Entry Hall and the Laundry Room. But, this week, I want to share the Entry Hall Refresh which entailed painting the closet door and giving the hardware on the china hutch a fresh coat of paint. I must apologize for having the lights on. There is hardly any natural light coming into the Entry Hall and it can be quite dark. So, the lights must come on.
I know my color loving friends are going to miss the blue door. Here’s the door in her many shades. Starting off with the every present baby diarrhea color that was on every door, shelf and trim.
Shortly after we moved in, I started the task of painting the doors…well, painting everything.
The new paint color on the door is Sherwin Williams Realist Beige 6078. It is the same color as the kitchen cabinets, laundry room cabinets and the trim. It really is a creamy color and doesn’t even look beige.
I know some of you might be curious as to why I made the paint color change leaving the blue. Well, truth be told, we have plans to eventually put the house on the market in a couple of years. Our daughter will be starting her senior year of high school this Fall and then heading off to college the following year. Greg and I are thinking of moving even further out of the Houston area. Maybe have a larger lot and maybe, just maybe, less traffic. So, thinking ahead, I know it would be an easier sell if the doors were closer to white than the blue. It is what everyone expects. So, part of the decor plans for the Summer will be to paint all of the doors. Sounds like fun? I know you are envious.
The chest in the first part of the Entry Hall got a good cleaning and polish.
