Hello World! Welcome Friends! The year is flying by and we will be heading soon enough into all things Christmas. But, for now, I want to focus on Fall and Thanksgiving. Today I’m sharing our Entry Hall Fall Decor. I can’t show you the entire Entry Hall since it will be revealed in the next couple of weeks.
Let me give you a quick update on the Entry Hall. The painting is just about finished. I have some touch-ups that I want to get finished and the ceiling in the second portion of the Entry Hall requires another coat of paint. The paint on the ceiling looks a little uneven in a couple of spots. Greg said he doesn’t notice it, but I do and it will bug me. So, up the ladder I go.
Greg and I managed to get the chandelier hung; which proved to be a challenge for us. I almost thought it wasn’t going to happen. It wasn’t a simple process like all of the other light fixtures we have hung due to its size and weight.
The hall door has been painted and the doorknob and hinges have been replaced. You will see those in this post. We still need to put the new hardware on the front door as well as the hinges. Hopefully, we can get to that soon. I still haven’t found a rug that I like, and I would like to get a new lamp for the chest in the first part of the Entry Hall. I still need to hang artwork and repaint the red pagoda mirror. And, our umbrella stand and all of our umbrellas have gone missing which I’m bummed about. I really liked that umbrella stand, now I guess I will have to find another one.
Another project I’ve been working on is organizing and storing all of Chloe’s American Girl Dolls and Accessories since she has decided she no longer wants to play with them. We will definitely keep them for future granddaughters. Anytime I get on an organization kick, I always head to the internet to see what new ideas there might be out there. I fell down the rabbit hole of organization and cleaning tips on Homelization. If you need more inspiration and great organizing and cleaning tips, head to Homelization.
Anyhoo, here’s our Fall Decor in the Entry Hall.
This chest sits just inside the front door in the first portion of the Entry Hall. It is directly across from the Study doors. The blue and white vase was a gift from a dear friend who had it filled with hydrangeas. I have since planted the hydrangeas in the backyard and decided to full the vase with faux Fall flowers.
The black and white pumpkin landed on the chest as well. I want to get a taller lamp for this chest since the ceilings are so high. The little blue and white lamp looks a little squatty.
These faux Fall flowers were purchased from Hobby Lobby. They really have such a great selection in their Floral Department.
In the second portion of the Entry Hall sits our freshly painted china hutch filled with blue and white decked out with faux Fall flowers. Here you get a glimpse of the coat closet door that was painted Inky Blue by Sherwin Williams with new gold hardware.
Misty, our gray kitty likes to chew on these flowers, so they look a little disheveled. Glorious mess.
This vase has such an amazing shape! It’s quite heavy, so little, Misty couldn’t topple it over in one of her flower play sessions.
