Hello World! Welcome Friends! Someone wise said that what makes a house beautiful are the people that live in it. But let’s face it, that is a bit too lofty and, even though it’s true, the actual beauty of the house matters especially for the state of mind if not for aesthetics. Having a beautiful organized home without clutter and broken things around it really helps with the mental health because it relaxes the brain and eyes that look at it. And it is not enough to have the interior nicely designed and decorated, but you have to take care of the outside as well. Also keeping it clean plays an important role, if not the main one, in how a house looks and how appealing it is for everybody that steps inside or passes by it.
Too many people only talk about the interior of a house and, regardless of its importance (because it is, as the biggest amount of time spent in the home), not about the outdoor looks. The truth is that they both are equally important in the layout of a home and as much as beauty is a relative and subjective issue for each person, it is an important part of everyone’s daily life. The following 5 tips will help you with enhancing the good looks of your comfy nest.
Design
This is a wide subject and goes from the actual layout of the house to the tiny details that decorate it. Now, you can ask a specialist to do it for you, but if you are the hands-on kind of person, then you would probably want to do it yourself and put a little bit of your personality in it. There is nothing wrong with either of these solutions, but either way you should do some research first. It is important to find exactly what you need for the best price on the market and, if you are on a budget, just look for the essentials and leave the accents and other decorations last on the list. This way you will get to have the closest thing to the house of your liking and taste.
Deciding which way you want your house design to go may be very confusing, but the easiest approach would be to picture yourself living in it and how you would feel. It is like a kind of role play, only you play yourself and the stage is your imagination. You definitely have in mind something that fits your personality best and that can be implemented very easily.
Accessorize
This is part of the designing section, only it’s more specific. Home accessories are the ones that make it truly personal and that is the most important part of a house. If you think about it, you don’t give it enough credit until you have to stay in the hospital for a while or when you move into a dorm in college. That is really when you realize that accessorizing your home is actually an important issue in order to feel like you belong to that place and that it is yours. But it doesn’t only have to consist of things related to renovating like chandeliers or wallpaper, it can be anything really, from the pictures on your fridge to the blanket on your couch. You can also add motivational quotes on your walls or signs on the outside and many other little things. Following trends on this issue is not that recommended either because trends come and go and they don’t really represent who you are and what you love. You may like how certain homes look in those glossy design magazines, but at some point, you will get tired of it and changing everything can rise up to a big price, so try to at least make the best out of both issues.
Add a pool
If you have a big enough yard, a pool would be the best choice and if you can make it indoor, that’s even better. Think about of all those summers when you arrive home tired from work and just want to chill in the sun reading a book. Now, summer is hot and we all know that, so why not have a relaxation resort too cool you off right in the backyard. If you keep thinking about always keeping it clean you should not worry because it’s not that hard and the products and tools are not very expensive either. You can even have a heated permanent indoor pool that you can also use during the winter or if you are not that fond of doing that, you can opt for an above ground pool that can be stored away when out of season. Pools are also a great way to socialize and have fun, a place for parties, so if you are a party person that is an extra reason to choose to have a pool.
Build a gazebo
Gazebos are pretty cute and actually very helpful on hot summer days. It keeps the shadow there all the time and you can make it a place to lounge and read or do other relaxing activities outside like yoga. Even the processes of building it (if you’re thinking of doing it yourself) is very satisfying as it disconnects your brain from the daily tasks and worries that stress you out. It is basically a means to rest your brain for a bit and besides it improves your thinking and focus by making you pay attention to the little details like where the nails go, how much to cut from a wooden stick or board and so on. You can then paint it whatever color you like, add some hanging flowers on it, plant some ivy (it will grow on it and will keep the temperature inside of it cooler) or add a hammock and some garden chairs and a small coffee table. It will be a great place to drink your coffee in the morning or tea in the afternoon.
