Hello World! Welcome Friends! As the weather gets warmer, many of us migrate outdoors to make the most of the great British summertime. You may have noticed your garden isn’t looking as it once was, or just fancy a change.
If you’re looking for new and interesting DIY garden projects to revamp your garden, why not give some of these a go?
Install Some Decking
If you’re wanting a sociable, modern space to entertain your guests, adding some DIY decking is a great addition to virtually any garden. You can easily build some decking in your garden by buying wooden planks and using an angle grinder to cut the wooden planks to your required dimensions.
Once you’ve done that, just screw it in place – and voila!
Add Some Greenery with Planters
Planters are an easy garden edition for the less savvy DIY-ers among us. DIY planters look great in your garden and are a fantastic way to grow plants and vegetables if you are short on space.
They work well with a variety of plants, so you can choose your favorites to go inside. You could even create a highly practical yet stylish herb bed if you enjoy cooking and entertaining.
All you’ll need is some wood, soil and gravel board to start with. So go on, why not give it a go?
Install a Trellis
If you don’t have one already, why not consider adding a trellis? A trellis is an easy-to-install feature that’s great for climbing plants. Flowering vines add color and texture to your garden and provide some much-needed privacy to your garden.
If you’re worried about garden maintenance, ivy, jasmine, wisteria, honey suckle, clematis or even roses are relatively hardy and low maintenance.
You can either build your own trellis from timber or buy one pre-made, ready to install in your garden.
Upcycle a Garden Bench
Benches look great in your garden and offer a relaxing space to sit. While you could spend a lot of money buying a bench from a designer brand, why not choose the sustainable option and upcycle one instead?
Lighting
Installing feature lighting is a great way to make your garden look more modern while adding practicality and functionality.
Firstly, decide where you want to have lighting. You might choose to build lighting into your decking or hang festoon lighting on your fence or walls. However you decide to add lighting, it can be a great way to improve the look of your garden.
Nowadays you can get some great solar-powered lighting options too!
And there you have it. As the days get warmer, now is the perfect time to plan your next DIY project. Whether you want to do a small, simple project or something a bit more involved, make sure to get out there and try your hand at some DIY. You might even surprise yourself!
