Hello World! Welcome Friends! I hope all had a lovely weekend! I meant to get this post live on Friday, but our schedule is still crazy. So, I try to work on the blog here and there whenever I have a few minutes. Anyhoo, as most of my readers know, I decided to change up the wall color in my home. I needed more warmth in the color than what we had before. It started in the Primary Closet which took me forever and a day to finish. But, it’s done now. I had originally painted a portion of the closet walls First Star from Sherwin Williams, but decided I just wasn’t feeling it. So, in came Diverse Beige from Sherwin Williams.
I’ve since had the Family Room, Breakfast Room and Kitchen walls painted in the new color. I shared the Breakfast Room new look in this post. Here’s a look at the Breakfast Room with the new paint decorated for Christmas.
I’m really trying to work with this house since we will not be replacing any of the flooring. The First Light color was too cool of a color for the flooring. Since I’ve changed the paint color, they work better together. Enough of the chit chat, here are a few pictures of the Dining Room with the new paint color. This is just the first step for this space. We had talked about getting new furniture, but have opted to not go that route. Instead, the furniture will be getting a makeover. And, sorry for all the lights being on. The only time I had to take pictures was a very dark, rainy and all around dreary day outside.
The armoire in these two pictures will be finding a home in another part of the house. But, I do plan to give it a makeover as well.
The warmer color works so much better with the blinds and the curtains.
I haven’t painted the Entry Hall yet, but that is on the list to do.
This week I’m having our front door refinished if the weather will cooperate. The door has never been refinished since the house was built in 2011. It is in a sad, sad state. After the front door has been refinished, we are having several panels on our garage door replaced then both doors will receive a fresh coat of paint. It does seem to be out side project time around here! Meanwhile on the inside, I have furniture that needs some major TLC.

I really like the warm beige wall color along with the dark blue ceiling in your dining room. The drapes and blue/white porcelain pieces fit in really well with the paint colors. Lovely!
