Hello World! Welcome Friends! Is housework stressing you out? If you’ve got a busy family home, there’s bound to be plenty of clutter, dirt, and dust, and you might feel as though you are constantly cleaning, only for it to be messy again almost immediately. While there’s nothing wrong with a bit of clutter and mess, if you are struggling to keep on top of housework it can soon start to become dangerous or unhygienic. But if you are working, looking after a family, and managing other responsibilities, you might not want to spend your free time cleaning. With a few design changes, you can make your life much easier, with an easy-to-clean home.
Avoid Tiles in the Bathroom
Tiles are a popular choice in the bathroom because they look great, they are waterproof and durable, and the tiles themselves are easy to clean.
But the areas between the tiles can quickly become dirty, discolored, and even moldy. You’ll need to re-grout frequently to keep them looking sharp. Instead of tiles, a waterproof building board from Just Wedi can be an excellent choice. Using a Just Wedi waterproof building board in your bathroom can make it much easier to clean, longer lasting and waterproof.
Avoid Space for Dust
Imagine a house that didn’t get dusty? How much easier to clean it would be. Unfortunately, it’s hard to get rid of dust completely without sealing ourselves in. But you can reduce the spaces and gaps where dust settles and multiplies. In the bathroom, dust can build up behind the toilet and sink, so wall mounting them can make it much easier to clean. In the kitchen, it can be hard to dust on top of cupboards, which can also get greasy. Installing cupboards right up to the ceiling or adding building boards to the tops gets rid of this problem.
Add More Storage
If your home is very cluttered, it might be because you don’t have enough storage. If your storage cupboards are a bit chaotic, this can also be a sign that you don’t have enough space. Add extra storage where you need it to keep your home tidier.
Buy Machine Washable Soft Furnishings
Cleaning things like sofa cushions, curtains and rugs can be a nightmare if they aren’t machine washable. Make sure everything that you buy is either easy to wipe down or can go in the washing machine.
Ditch the Carpet
Carpet can feel nice underfoot, but it traps dirt and dust, and even if you vacuum regularly, it will get walked around your home and trodden deep into the fibers. Wooden or vinyl flooring is much easier to clean and adding a machine-washable rug can still feel nice to walk on.
Choose Colors Carefully
Light colors can be modern and trendy, but they show up dirt and need cleaning often. If you have kids or pets, darker colors can hide the marks better and reduce your cleaning tasks.
No one should have to spend their hard-earned free time scrubbing their home. But we can’t all justify hiring a cleaner either. An easier-to-clean home is a perfect solution.
