Hello World! Welcome Friends! Don’t neglect your conservatory this Christmas. Our top tips will help you create a conservatory that’s fun, festive and fabulous.
Add some festive magic to your conservatory with these simple steps
When it comes to decorating your home for Christmas, it’s all too easy to neglect the conservatory. However, given that we all need a little extra space during this time of year, you’re likely to be spending a lot of time in your conservatory, so take some time to make it look and feel as festive as the rest of your home.
Luxury conservatories lend themselves particularly well to creating a really impressive winter wonderland, but it’s possible to add some festive magic to your conservatory, whatever its size and style.
Christmas tree
It goes without saying that the centerpiece of any Christmas decor theme is the Christmas tree, so whether you prefer an artificial tree or the real thing, try to incorporate one into your conservatory decorations. It will really add a perfect finishing touch to the room, especially with pile of brightly wrapped presents stacked underneath. If you’re short of space you can always choose a smaller tree that can be placed on a table or shelf, or for a contemporary look try placing some branches in a vase and decorating with fairy lights.
Natural decorations
Conservatories are all about blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, so try and reflect that in your decorations by incorporating some traditional winter plants and foliage. Holly and ivy are obvious choices, as is mistletoe, or get creative with silver spray paint and some pine cones. Traditional poinsettia plants are also a great way to add a splash of festive color. Add to the natural theme with rustic decorations, such as burlap bunting, paper chains and wooden ornaments.
Cozy accessories
Winter is all about being warm and cozy while it’s cold and wet outside, so choose accessories that help to create a cozy atmosphere. Warm throws and blankets in natural fabrics, big comfortable cushions and woollen rugs will all help to create a snug winter haven. Lighting is also a great way to add festive atmosphere to a room – fairy lights and candles will both work really well. And if you want to go all out you might even want to consider installing a wood burner for maximum coziness – it may seem like a big step but it’s not as difficult or expensive as you might think.
Christmas colors
Color is a key consideration when getting your conservatory ready for Christmas. There are a number of color scheme options which will really help your room look the part – the best one for you will depend on your individual tastes and your existing home décor. For a traditional look combine red and green, choose silver and gold for a touch of luxury and glamour, or evoke a winter wonderland with icy whites. You could even embrace a retro vibe by using lots of bright colors – and maybe even a tinsel garland or two!
When it comes to getting your conservatory ready for Christmas there are loads of options open to you, whatever your taste and style. So be creative, have fun with it and, most importantly, have a very Merry Christmas!
